Those names are blacked out. Why so shy? Is this not a matter of public record?

The shareholders of VW should trust the fact that I have crossed paths
with most of the law firms mentioned within this class action lawsuit
before and they have all failed to act like ethical officers of the
court.

For the record after calling VW again (they would not tell who the
lawyers were), the Ontario Securities Commission and the Competition
Bureau I called each of the lawyers involved in the class action and
only one picked up the phone admitted that he heard of me then tried
hard to play dumb about my concerns with VW. Lets just say that his
law firm has been blocking my emails for political reasons not ethical
reasons for quite some time. I will let the other lawyers who got this
email try to figure who he is.

Volkswagen Canada reaches deal to compensate customers affected by emissions scandal
Affected owners will get between $5,100 and $8,000, depending on make and model of their vehicle
CBC News Posted: Dec 19, 2016 10:58 AM ET
Volkswagen Canada has reached a proposed deal to compensate
about 105,000 Canadian vehicle owners affected by a diesel engine
emissions scandal that rocked the company.
A deal between the company and drivers of vehicles with 2.0-litre TDI engines who launched a class-action suit has been approved in principle and was expected to be signed Monday in Ontario Superior Court in Toronto. A similar court action was also taking place in Montreal.
If the proposed settlement gets court approval in Ontario and Quebec in March 2017, it will become final at the end of that month, after which Canadians will get their settlements.
To be eligible for compensation, the 2.0-litre TDI-equipped vehicles must be one of the following makes and model years:
People will have until March 4, 2017, to opt out of the settlement or object to it.
Jon Prystayko of Calgary owns a 2012 VW Jetta TDI, which he said he
bought because of its good fuel economy. However, in the wake of the
emissions scandal, he has only been using the car as his "winter
beater."
"I don't want to put any work into it or do any maintenance, because I didn't know what was happening," he told CBC News.
Waiting to hear how VW would compensate drivers since the scandal erupted in September 2015, Prystayko said his reaction to news of the settlement was "neutral."
"I am disappointed with how long it took, but at the same time, I will be satisfied when I have that money in my hands and my vehicle back in VW's hands," he said.
Prystayko said he bought a newer VW vehicle with incentives the company offered, and now he just wants to be done with his diesel.
The total settlement will be worth about $2.1 billion if all drivers claim the amount they are owed, said Harvey T. Strosberg, who is a co-lead counsel for the class-action lawsuit.
The drivers have been waiting since it was learned in 2015 that many
VW vehicles were fitted with software to fool emissions tests. Vehicles
fitted with the cheat emitted nitrogen oxide at a level many times more
than permitted under pollution standards.
The settlement doesn't include an admission of responsibility from VW Canada.
"We are working hard to earn back the trust of our customers, dealers
and regulators, and today is an important step in that effort," she
said, thanking Canadian customers for their patience.
Ontario Superior Court Judge Edward Belobaba called the deal a "slam dunk" class action.
Meanwhile, the federal Competition Bureau said it has reached a consent agreement with Volkswagen Canada and Audi Canada for an additional $15-million penalty.
The bureau said the agreement was negotiated to address its conclusions that false or misleading environmental marketing claims were used to promote some vehicles with 2.0-litre diesel engines.
The Competition Bureau said the settlement announced Monday does not
resolve its ongoing inquiry into vehicles equipped with some 3.0-litre
diesel engines.
VW reached a compensation deal with about 475,000 U.S. owners of vehicles with 2.0-litre diesel engines in August, and it was approved by a judge in late October.
U.S. VW owners can opt to have the company buy back their vehicles regardless of condition for the full trade-in price on Sept. 18, 2015, the day the scandal erupted, or pay for repairs. U.S. owners will also get between $5,100 and $10,000 US each, conditional on the age of the vehicle and whether the owner had it before Sept. 18 of last year.
Strosberg said the terms of Canadian and U.S. settlements are structured similarly, but the legal landmarks in each country are different.
"For example, the punitive damages are enormous in the U.S. They have [product] recall statutes that make treble damages. We don't have something like that here, but we have a fair and reasonable system."
He also said the values of the vehicles in Canada will be different than in the U.S.
"I think that the vehicles in Canada were older than the vehicles in the U.S., for example," he said.
On Monday, a judge in San Francisco gave attorneys for the U.S. government, VW and car owners until Tuesday to reach a settlement deal covering about 80,000 vehicles equipped with 3.0-litre diesel engines.

- VW Jetta, 2009-2015.
- VW Jetta Wagon, 2009.
- VW Golf, 2010-2013, 2015.
- VW Passat, 2012-2015.
- VW Beetle, 2013-2015.
- VW Golf Wagon, 2010-2014.
- VW Golf Sportwagon, 2015.
- Audi A3, 2010-2013, 2015.
People will have until March 4, 2017, to opt out of the settlement or object to it.

'A huge number'
The total settlement will be worth about $2.1 billion if all drivers claim the amount they are owed, said Harvey T. Strosberg, who is a co-lead counsel for the class-action lawsuit.
"It's a huge number," said Strosberg. "No corporation has paid that money in Canadian history. It is a watershed moment."
The settlement doesn't include an admission of responsibility from VW Canada.
"Volkswagen's primary goal has always been to ensure our Canadian
customers are treated fairly, and we believe that this proposed
resolution achieves this aim," said Volkswagen Group Canada president
and CEO Maria Stenstroem in a release.
Ontario Superior Court Judge Edward Belobaba called the deal a "slam dunk" class action.
Federal penalty
Meanwhile, the federal Competition Bureau said it has reached a consent agreement with Volkswagen Canada and Audi Canada for an additional $15-million penalty.
The bureau said the agreement was negotiated to address its conclusions that false or misleading environmental marketing claims were used to promote some vehicles with 2.0-litre diesel engines.
"The bureau's investigation found that Volkswagen Canada and Audi
Canada misled consumers by promoting vehicles sold or leased in Canada
as having clean diesel engines with reduced emissions that were cleaner
than an equivalent gasoline engine sold in Canada," the agency said in a
release.

Volkswagen cheats on
emissions and has to pay almost $20 billion in fines, buybacks and to
fix the emissions issues. GM's ignition problems were known and ignored
by their HQ for over a decade, was the linked to over 100 fatalities,
and the total damage to GM was less than 1/4 of what Volkswagen had to
pay. Fascinating.

@Phil Mortensen That was
exactly my opinion last year when I offered my help to the VW excutives
and the snobby people laughed at me However I do have the last laugh
because at least I am still in Federal Court making the Feds nervous
long after Harper got the boot.

Easy money for VW owners
considering they didn't lose anything in the deal, except for an
abstract sense of harming the environment.
Take the money and buy from a different company.

That is what My mother will do with hers.. Run it till it will run no more and keep the cash.. Mind you VW will limit parts now so they will fail faster as the market absorbs up all the parts..

@Carl B. Nader I have a
different idea for the VW folks who like the product as much as I do.
Take the offer and trade it in on a new car if VW offers a decent deal
on the new one. VW gets to make a profit on selling more cars that their
competition did not and they can recoup some of their losses. Their
stocks will rise and their shareholders reap the benefit as well.
After all VW did apologize and pay bigtime for their lack of ethics. However nobody was physically by their actions like other manufacturer's airbags or sticky throttles or key switches etc.
More importantly on a personal level don't get me going on Flaming TownCars and Ford's cruise controls that not only catch fire but often times you don't even know you it turned on because of the switch location. That fact could have killed my Clan in blinding snowstorm in a rented brand new Yankee Mercury in 2002. Ask the RCMP officer who had us towed out of the ditch just how pissed off I was at Ford. Better ask Ford about my complaint they ignored. I am a well seasoned driver and my safe driving record over the past 30 some years speaks for itself. Trust that I am well aware that one does not use cruise in slippery conditions. However how was I to know I had engaged cruise by simply laying my hand on the steering wheel because no light was installed in the dash of Mercury's finest car was there to warn me of my error? Ford's manual in the car I rented on the topic of the the warning light said and I quote "If Equipped" YEA RIGHT written by a lawyer of that I have no doubt.
I can only imagine how many folks have spun into oncoming traffic or off the road with worse outcomes over the years. Need I say Shame on the same governments that made VW pay so much over such a minor issue?

Volkswagen Canada rolls out apology in huge ad campaign
But no details on the recall, the fix or even the promised credit package are available
CBC News Posted: Nov 30, 2015 3:49 PM ET
Volkswagen is rolling out its apology for the diesel emissions scandal in Canada with an expensive countrywide ad campaign.
The Canadian arm of the automaker took out full-page ads in 100 newspapers across Canada on Monday apologizing for betraying customer trust.
"Recently we made a big mistake: We broke your trust. For over 60 years Canadians have relied on us to act with integrity. Yet we've let you down," the ad reads.
It pledges Volkswagen "won't rest until we earn back your trust and restore our integrity" and directs customers to a website, which has been up for a few weeks, with further details about the emissions scandal, the cars affected and what VW Canada proposes to do.
The ad will run in print and on the web for the next couple of weeks, with a new message to appear next week.
The date of a recall for diesel cars in Canada that emit more nitrogen oxide than they should is still not available.
Among the details emerging from the website is a pledge to offer an owner credit package to vehicles with two-litre diesel engines including the Beetle, Jetta, Passat, Golf and Audi A3.
Volkswagen calls this credit package "a gesture of goodwill for their continued patience while we work to develop a remedy for their vehicles."
Thomas Tetzlaff, manager of media relations for VW Canada, said the details of the credit package have not yet been finalized, but he anticipated "it will be very similar to the program recently announced in the United States. "
U.S. owners got a $1,000 US package that included a prepaid Visa card, $500 in dealership credits and three years of free roadside assistance.
Environment Canada is working with U.S. regulators to approve a fix for the cars, which have software installed that turns on emissions control when cars are undergoing testing, but turns it off during real-world driving.
The automaker has presented a potential fix to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board, but the regulators have yet to release details or approve the fix.
The Volkswagen website includes a statement from VW Canada CEO Maria Stenstrom. It also addresses the question of why it took so long to issue an apology in Canada, when U.S. consumers had one on Nov. 15.
"While we were hoping to have more information to share at this point in the process, unfortunately that's not the case, and we felt we owed it to our Canadian employees, dealers and customers to publicly apologize to Canadians for breaking their trust," the site says.
"This advertising apology is an important step towards our commitment to making things right in declaring our full commitment to restoring Canadians' faith in our brand."

The initial VW manufacturing was financially unsound, and only the
corruption and lack of accountability of the Nazi regime made it possible.
The company would admit in 1998 that it used 15,000 slaves during the war
effort. German historians estimated that 80% of Volkswagen's wartime
workforce was slave labour.
So it's nice to see that Volkswagon is staying true to it's founding
principles of ethics.
...Oh... and they said they were sorry about the slave labour thing too.

It should be noted that VW will not actually do anything to help owners. I
have made numerous calls to VW looking for some help as my car is due back
at lease end in 3 weeks. All I got was a letter saying they will not be
doing anything to address my concerns. The dealers, although not their
fault and I get that, was also unwilling to even discuss anything. As
owners, we all dealt with the dealership, not VW and as the agent acting on
behalf of VW I certainly felt like I was worthless to the dealer. There is
zero chance VW will ever earn my trust back but on top of that, my dealer,
that owns other dealerships, will also never see me in their showrooms
again.

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Plaintiff, David Raymond Amos pursuant to Rules
30(1)(a)(2), 50(2)(5) and 51(1)(2) of the Federal Court Rules moves
that the court to set aside the order of Mr. Prothonotary Morneau
striking out the Plaintiff’s Statement of Claim of against the
Defendant, HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN in its entirety, without leave to
amend and requests an oral hearing to discuss the evidence and the
merits of this matter before a Judge of Federal Court in Fredericton,
NB on December 14th, 2015 at 9:30 am for a duration of 2 hours.
THE APPEAL IS FOR:
1. The Plaintiff sued the Queen of England. The Deputy Attorney
General named the Attorney General as the Defendant in his motion to
dismiss this matter pursuant to Rules 221(1)(a) of the Federal Court
Rules instead of HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN (CROWN) then named her as the
Defendant in the Court Order he had composed for a Prothonotary to
dismiss the Statement of Claim in its entirety, without leave to amend
before the Plaintiff could file the evidence to support his claim
against the CROWN seeking eleven million dollars and proper apologies
for its offences against his rights under the Canadian Charter of
Rights and Freedoms (Charter) that could be appealed to the Supreme
Court of Canada if necessary.
2. Mr. Prothonotary Morneau is not an infant or incompetent. He should
had understood Rule 50(2)(5) of the Federal Court Rules in that he had
no authority to strike a statement of claim seeking eleven million
dollars in monetary relief in light of the fact that no consent was
given by the Plaintiff for any prothonotary to render a final judgment
in this matter. The objection filed by the Plaintiff on October 26,
2015 to the vexatious Motion to Dismiss by the Attorney General of
Canada clearly states that the Plaintiff requests an oral hearing
before a Judge of Federal Court. No consent was expressed or implied
in order to allow a prothonotary to ignore the Federal Court Rules.
THE GROUNDS TO APPEAL THE ORDER OF MR. PROTHONOTARY MORNEAU AND THE
REQUEST AN ORAL HEARING OF THE DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO DISMISS ARE:
1. The Attorney General of Canada and Mr. Prothonotary Morneau have
falsely claimed that the Plaintiff discloses no reasonable cause of
action despite the fact that the CROWN admitted within its Motion to
Dismiss that the Plaintiff had stated that the CROWN had breached his
right to peaceful assembly and association pursuant to section 2(c)
and (d) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The facts are
the Plaintiff is still barred today from access to parliamentary
properties and public records buildings and that the Queen of England
rules over every jurisdiction in Canada. The Federal Court of Canada
does have the jurisdiction to hear this matter and the Plaintiff did
file his statement of claim against the CROWN in a timely fashion
because he is still barred from the most important public properties
in all of Canada.
2. Due process of law entitles the Plaintiff, to provide the Federal
Court with the evidence to support his Statement of Claim and to be
heard rather than be summarily dismissed in writing by a prothonotary
because the counsel for the Defendant makes allegations that his
actions in defence of his rights and freedoms under the Charter are
frivolous and vexations or that the Federal Court does not have the
jurisdiction to hear a claim against the CROWN.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTRY EVIDENCE will be used at the hearing of the
Defendant’s Motion to Dismiss.
1. The Statement of Claim filed September 16, 2015.
2. The Motion to Dismiss served on the Plaintiff on October 16, 2015.
3. The Opposition to the Motion to Dismiss filed on October, 26, 2015
4. A CD containing a true copy of a police surveillance wiretap tape
and numerous documents that the CROWN has in its possession before the
Plaintiff was illegally barred from parliamentary properties for
unethical political reasons.

Party policy main theme of Grand Falls-Windsor candidate’s forum
By Randy Edison, The Advertiser
Published on November 18, 2015
Its doubtful the candidate’s forum for the Grand Falls-Windsor Buchans
district which aired on Rogers Cable last night will make or break the
campaign for either of the three participants, but it did provide a few
interesting moments.
The forum featured opening and closing statements from independent
candidate Rex Barnes, Liberal Al Hawkins and Tory Mark Whiffen. NDP
candidate Meghan Keating did not participate.
Keating explained her absence to the Advertiser Wednesday evening in an
email, stating, "...no invitation was extended to me to participate or
represent the NDP in such a discussion on how we can move forward as a
district."
Candidates then faced six questions from panelists Shane Budgell and Margo
Pitcher.
Dave Anthony moderated the forum.
Questions, none of which were released to candidates prior to the event,
ranged from how candidates (or parties) would: support the mining industry;
deal with outmigration and retention of youth; long term care and
palliative care bed shortages; improve the regional waste management
initiative; bill MCP for flu shots administered at pharmacies; and
reintroduce adult basic education at the College of the North Atlantic.
Responses were predictable with Hawkins and Whiffen citing party policy on
all issues. With no party affiliation, Barnes used his time to attack both
the governing Tories and the front-running Liberals.
The excitement level spiked with a segment featuring questions from
candidates addressed to a single opponent.
Both Barnes and Whiffen fired questions at Hawkins, who is seen by most
election followers locally as the frontrunner.
Barnes, a former mayor of Grand Falls-Windsor asked Hawkins, the current
mayor, to address the concerns he’s hearing on the campaign trail regarding
recent Exploits Salmon Festival losses; deficits in the town’s employee
pension plan; the steep rise in property assessments in town and the
increase in honorariums paid to councillors.
Hawkins addressed each concern.
In terms of the salmon festival losses, he said council tried to put
together a first class act, adding that the public support council
anticipated didn’t materialize.
In terms of the rising property assessment rates, Hawkins said the Liberal
party has committed to a change of process.
In relation to the pension fund deficit (more than $1 million) Hawkins said
council has been addressing that matter over the last couple of years and
has an agreement in place with government to deal with the shortfall
payments.
In terms of the honorariums, Hawkins explained the amount is determined as
a percentage of property tax collected.
He also said a large part of those honorariums have been put back into
events and sponsorships.
With his one question, Hawkins asked Barnes how he expects to be an
effective representative for the region as an independent, considering the
fact he would have no party office to support him, nor will he be permitted
to speak in the House of Assembly.
Barnes said in the past if locals “voted for government or for the
opposition, it hasn’t done the district any good.
“I will speak for the people, and the people need a voice,” Barnes added.
Whiffen challenged Hawkins on his previous involvement with the
Conservative party, including an appointment to the Nalcor Energy board of
directors, terming his candidacy for the Liberals in the Nov. 30 election
as one of “convenience not conviction.”
Hawkins said he was never a member of the Conservative party.
“I’ve always been a Liberal and proud to be one,” he said, noting he did
attend one golf tournament organized for Susan Sullivan.
Hawkins said on his first day as mayor he was challenged by the current
town manager about his political affiliation and how it would fit with the
sitting Conservative government.
“I told him . . .by the time I finish they won’t know that I was a
Liberal,” Hawkins added. “I always put the people first as mayor and I will
when I’m (in the House).”

In a nutshell my concerns about the actions of the Investment Industry
affect the interests of every person in every district of every
country not just the USA and Canada. I was offering to help you with
Emera because my work with them and Danny Williams is well known and
some of it is over eight years old and in the PUBLIC Record.
All you have to do is stand in the Legislature and ask the MInister of
Justice why I have been invited to sue Newfoundland by the
Conservatives
Obviously I am the guy the USDOJ and the SEC would not name who is the
link to Madoff and Putnam Investments
Here is why

We seem to have gotten disconnected in our telephone conversation...Im

you issues are that are relevant to Aboriginal people in my District

Especially your statement on intent to sue the NL government on the

Dear David,
Apologies for the delay in my response. This week was jammed with
board meetings for our riding and a massive volunteer appreciation BBQ
that we held yesterday. I'm just catching up on messages now.
Apropos the information you sent to me, I found it very interesting.
In fact, here in Calgary East, I'm planning a series of
workshops/public lectures that look at "Corruption in Canada". My
policy team and I are meeting this week to discuss the items you sent
to me and your case in particular to see what we can do in terms of,
at least, bringing some public awareness to this case and other cases
of corruption and questionable practices in Canadian governance and
government relations with businesses.
Do make sure to send us a follow up on what you decide to do, apropos
your proposed law suit. I will share the information with my team.
As my own follow up question, though, why have you sent me this
material as opposed to approaching your local MP and/or Liberal
candidate? Surely others would be interested too.
I know Ted. He's a great person and he'll be a wonderful MP. Do let me
know what transpires on that front.
Best of luck in your efforts. We'll chat soon,
Josipa

I explained myself to your sister Ana ( who was quite nice) She
obviously told you I had called after you responded to my first emaiI.
She told me you were heading out to debate that night so I sent you
the email with the attachemnt about BHP and Potash Corp so you could
embarass some Conservatives as to why Harper stopped the hostile
takeover last year but clearly you did not read it in time for the
election but there is still a bit of time to stir the pot before the
Speech from the Throne in June
Anyway to answer your question I am the whistleblower that inspired
this hearing in Washington DC before I came home and ran for public
office 4 times in Canada between 2004 and 2006 then got stuck here
without my wife and kids

RE: Corruption
Hey,
Please find enclosed an exact copy of all material served upon
Lieutenant Governor Roberts by my friend Byron Prior. The copy of
wiretap tape numbered 139 is served upon you in confidence as law
enforcement authorities in order that it may be properly investigated.
I have also enclosed a copy of the correspondence between the RCMP
External Review Committee and I. As you review the same material they
got, you can see the folks in BC were contacted almost one year ago.
Apparently the dumb bastards don't know how to read. If these are the
best lawyers Anne McLellan has got to send against me, the government
is about to be embarrassed big time by a simple Maritimer.
Whereas I have now received my answer from the Lieutenant
Governor of New Brunswick and the RCMP External Review Committee, I am
about to file my own complaints. I have given up on my native land
protecting my dumb ass. If you have any questions may I suggest that
you take my matter up with Anne McLellan or Jack Hooper.
With respect to my friend Byron Prior's sad complaint, let me
be the first layman to congratulate the RCMP in the fine job they did
covering up his matters for the benefit many corrupt politicians for
some many years. It is too bad that the RCMP weren't so diligent in
upholding the law. Lets see if I can have any luck tearing the mask of
virtue off of the RCMP and the likes of T. Alex Hickman for the
benefit of all the simple folk like Byron and I.
Shame on all of you. Say hey to the cop in the picture that was
guarding Harper on June 19th will ya? I need to know his name and
summons him to court to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing
but the truth. He can bring his god along to help if he thinks it
necessary but I would rather he bring his conscience. What say you? If
I don't get an answer from you by Oct3rd. I will be due to sue you
too. What do you think should I complain of the RCMP in a court
Newfoundland or New Brunswick?
I already know Byron's answer.
Cya'll in Court :)
