One could thing about the Liebranos holding public consultations is that people who are barred from the legislative buildings such as Chucky Leblanc can meet the sneaky politicians across the street and ask questions. Chucky proved that first thing this morning within his blog the day after CBC finally admitted knowing of his latest arrest by questionable Edmunston cops over a week ago.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/charles-leblanc-fredericton-police-libel-1.3853481

Whereas I am also barred from parliamentary properties (2 years before Chucky was) and none of Premier Gallant's minions will even speak to me nor answer emails, methinks I will continue with my MO. I will answer the Liebranos questions about money in writing byway of an email. Then I will publish the aforesaid email within blog about a lawsuit against the Crown about the illegal barring of a citizen from the most important public buildings of all while on FIVE ballots seeking a seat within. I will let the political cards fall where they in Canada's "Have Not Province" as I head back to court to argue the Crown in Federal Court.

``Nothing stays the same``.
Except, for generations, the mismanagement of public administration and finances and for whatever reason we can’t seem to get enough of it and are preparing to ask for more be it municiple, provincial or federal, could we have a very special committee look into that question...et voilà.

@Roland Godin The awful truth is Liebranos claim they plan to balance a budget but only if and when they are reelected. The sneaky NDP dude who can't get himself elected but gets to yap on and on in CBC was right about one thing though The Liebrano financial nonsense is a joke.

The sad part is ti joke is on us and at our expense. N'esy Pas?

Cathy Rogers hosts 1st pre-budget session, sees clash of ideas

Opinions on the consultations ranged from worthwhile to worthless

Finance Minister Cathy Rogers says giving the public the chance to give feedback on how the province spends it's money is important for transparency and gaining new ideas.

The Gallant government held the first of nine pre-budget consultations in Fredericton Wednesday night and very little was agreed upon.

The small discussion groups, which included members of the public as well as opposition parties, heard that the province should and shouldn't introduce a carbon tax, that schools should close and open, and a myriad of views on highway tolls.

Despite the disagreement Finance Minister Cathy Rogers said she is a supporter of the discussion format.

"I love this format," said Rogers.

"It's important because we need to continue the dialogue and give them the opportunity to speak back into government about anything that might be different or new because things change. Nothing stays the same."
More than 70 people attended the two-hour meeting.

The consultation comes just a day after the government announced the provincial deficit is now projected to hit an eight-year low.
'We really didn't accomplish anything here tonight.' - Jim Cougle
Several of the small groups in attendance agreed the province should continue to stay the course when it comes to spending, while others hoped the return of a balanced budget before the 2020-21 target set by the government.

Rogers said while people are often quick to offer opinions on where to spend money, they can also point to where the government should cut.

"I take that those seriously," said Rogers.

"When I hear about simple efficiencies that we might not have considered these are very important. So I'm looking forward to what we'll hear going forward."

Critical citizens

There were criticisms about how much the government was spending in some areas.

Jim Cougle, who represented the group Save NB Now, said education is a place where efficiencies can be made,

"There are apparently 72 schools that should be closed … They are at under 50 per cent capacity, there's no need to keep schools open that are half full," said Cougle.

Jim Cougle
Jim Cougle was critical of the public meet and stated he believes the gatherings are simply for show and that government isn't really listening. (Shane Fowler)

Although he attended the meeting, Cougle said he is pessimistic about the consultations.

"Government has never listened. They're not going to listen," said Cougle.

"We really didn't accomplish anything here tonight."

Others were more optimistic about the process.

Chris George, a student at the University of New Brunswick, said he thought the session went really well.

"I thought it was open, transparent. Gave us an opportunity to have feedback. I got to hear people," said George.

"That's the one thing with governance and politics is being able to sit down with civil discourse and engage in conversation."

Chris George

George said the long-term future of the province was the concern most discussed in his group.

"We are looking at 50, or 100 years down the road," said George.

"We're looking at what the earth is telling us, what the climate is telling us, industry, the economy. And we want to know how we can adapt our ways of living and our lifestyles and cultures to meet our needs and the needs of this society."

The province will host eight more pre-budget consultations in Florenceville, Moncton, Neguac, Balmoral, Bathurst, Edmundston, Saint Andrews, before wrapping up in Saint John on Dec. 5.

Chief of Staff know as well as I that I always protest immediately to
the proper lawyers then blog about it N'esy Pas Minister Joly?

@Alex Forbes Nope its time to the ordinary French and English folks to
form and new political party and call it something simple like PO for
Pissed Off or KISS fo Keep It Simple Stupid.

Do tell did anyone bother to Paul Hellyer's book called "Good Bye
Canada" or what political party he created and why??? It was a Hell of
piece of work.

What really took the cake for me year later was when I was running in
the Election of the 38th Parliament the French lawyer Bernie Lord had
the Prima Donna artsy fartsy French Lt Governor and the French Sgt at
Arms who was ex RCMP/GRC member who found the dope in Hatfield's
baggage when he was traveling with the Queen bar me for parliamentary
properties.

Trust thatI wrote a letter to the Lt Governor of New Brunswick and
made it a point to remind that snobby French man of what Louis Riel
wrote in his diary before the RCMP/GRC had him hung. Old Louie the
Metis warned us that the French would take back Canada without out
firing a shot.

Everybody knows the evil Liebrano lawyers from Quebec Chretien and
Trudeau "The Elder" started that ball rolling in 193 with the revision
of the Constitution. Many years later the mindless pretty boy Trudeau
"The Younger" is following his Fat Daddy's Liebrano playbook to the
letter. N'esy Pas?

Exemption sought from Canadian Heritage law that requires significant
cultural items to remain in Canada

"We can only base our activities on past experiences and past
experiences tell us that the aircraft will continue to be ignored and
will continue to deteriorate," said Smythe.

"And the legal advice that we're getting from our Canadian contacts is
that there's an avenue there for us to make an application to have
something done about the aircraft being left as it is."
Exemption sought

Smythe is applying for an exemption from Canadian Heritage laws that
require an object of significant cultural heritage to be kept within
the country. He will also need the City of Edmundston to release the
plane to him.
