Need I say that I was not impressed that Pat Stogran my pick of the litter for NDP leader Quit?

After I watched his video I am relieved that such a snob has given up. For the record I had a long talk with one of his campaign assitants one day and he welcomed emails from me. Yet snobby Patty Baby did not have the decency or balls to answer emails or return phone calls just like every other politician on the planet.

Scroll down to see some of what both he and I know

Pat, you should know Canadian politics disfavour seasoned people with real life experince, whether ex-miltary or civilians. That's how we ended having a drama teacher with a famous name as a PM!

Thank you for your service, enjoy your family and offer your experience where it's appreciated!

@Eric Tripp Pat Stogran can never say that I didn't warn him.

Hey Nick. Lets not try to tar the NDP either. Lets maybe get more than vague accusations before making any judgements here.

Mr Stogran says the inner working of the NDP are "fundamentally flawed". Well I want to know what those flaws are that he really hasn't elaborated on. That's fair isn't it?

He also said the party put "major obstacles" in place for candidates trying to grow the party from the grassroots. What obstacles, who in hell was stopping him from door knocking? Please tell me, because I think that statement is coming from a person that got in over his head and could not bring himself to back out gracefully.

@ERIK HANSEN Methinks Mr Grafff may wish to enlighten you.

http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/ndp-leadership-hopeful-brian-graff-takes-party-to-court-after-they-block-his-candidacy

"An NDP leadership hopeful whose bid to enter the race was rejected in December has launched a second legal challenge in the hope of forcing the party to let him run.

Brian Graff claims the NDP’s decision to reject him was undemocratic and violates the party’s rules. He believes the party doesn’t want to allow his candidacy because some of his views run counter to NDP orthodoxy. The party suggests they rejected Graff’s bid for other reasons, including a criminal charge laid against him in 1993.

Now, Graff wants the Ontario Superior Court to order the NDP to accept his leadership application."

Welcome to the real world of politics. Incompetence best describes it

David Raymond Amos
David Raymond Amos
@Pete Lindsay True. However Stogran was my pick of the litter for NDP leader. In light of how he stood up against Harper and the Boyz as the Veterans Ombudsman, I thought he may break the mold that produces incompetent politicians.

Now that I watched the Colonel's video announcing his early retirement from the field of hard ball politicking with whimpy NDP people I am no longer a fan. He seems to me to be a typical snobby old officer. If the NDP don't want to play his way he is taking his bat and going home to pout about it.

No doubt the old warhorse knows how to fight and shoot straight but it does not follow he knows how to agree and debate. Methinks he is wise to head out to the pasture and enjoy his latter days in peace. I plan to do so as well in short order. I trust that the CBC and legions of politicians will not miss me N'esy Pas?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Douglas

"In 1984, two years before his death. In 2004, a CBC Television program named Tommy Douglas "The Greatest Canadian", based on a Canada-wide, viewer-supported survey."

I am not a fan of the NDP or the Liberals or the Conservatives but to give the devils their due methinks I do owe Tommy Douglas and his cohorts a lot respect if only from free universal health care.

"The adoption of health care across Canada ended up being the work of three men with diverse political ideals - Tommy Douglas, John Diefenbaker and Lester Pearson."

@David Raymond Amos - A couple of years later the CBC repeated "The Greatest Canadian" and the winner that time was P.E. Trudeau ?@%$#! Tommy and Pierre had switched places. Both times the third place finisher was Terry Fox, what a crock that was ! Well, I'm sorry but Terry was so much more of a "Great Canadian" than either of the aforementioned politicians. No politician could even come close to Terry Fox.

David Raymond Amos
David Raymond Amos
@Gigi De Paoli You are definitely entitled to your opinion However what you fail to understand is that at lot of folks such as I who do not vote believe your beloved "Party Establishment" system" is the problem just as Stogran claims. Trump proved that fact in spades recently correct?

Gigi De Paoli
Gigi De Paoli
@David Raymond Amos

The "Party Establishment" system is not "beloved" by me. I just see it as unavoidable, unfortunately, because it is a natural extension of people living together in society. Human nature is such that we gravitate towards people who share our views. That is how movements are formed. And when movements organize and rally around a centre of leadership, that is how political parties and their "Party Establishments" are formed.

It is unavoidable, and if you think that not voting will change that, you are living in a pipe dream. The only thing achieved by not voting is to ensure that the most rabid, partisan, activist voices are the only ones heard and the only ones relevant in elections. This is a large part of the reason why our political systems have reached such depths of corruption and depravity.

If we are to hope for any improvement, citizen interest, self-education, participation and involvement in the political system is necessary, vital and paramount.

David Raymond Amos
David Raymond Amos
@Gigi De Paoli FYI Two of my children and I are not allowed to vote for no reason I will ever understand.

However the political parties you support could not stop me from running for Public Office 5 times thus far (3 federally and 2 provincially) while CBC acted in a very partisan fashion and denied that I was on the ballot 5 times until the elections were over. Here is the CBC report on the riding in the last election I ran in. Check out the comment section.

Ever since Broadbent, the NDP has lost its direction. No longer the party of social democracy, it rides on poetic rhetoric. No longer able to represent a federalist position as they continue to cater to French nationalists in Quebec. They now want to open up the pandora's box of the constitution. Worse, they have abandoned their Alberta leader who worked hard to get yourself elected and become premier. Agree, with Pat Strogan; the NDP has major flaws and has lost their way. Not interested in the grassroots or Canada

Paul Underhill

@David Raymond Amos Methinks CBC blocked my comment above for political reasons rather than ethical reasons

Many folks know that they can check out my Twitter account in order to locate my blog about this article and then view all the comments of mine that CBC blocks. N'esy Pas Hubby LaCroix and Minister Joly?

David Raymond Amos
David Raymond Amos
@Marie Price Methinks Broadbent is a bad actor just like Trudeau "The Younger" and his lawyer daddy before him. Despite their faults Deifenbaker, Peason and Douglas were the real McCoys.

For the record in my humble opinion the only honest Prime Minister Canada ever had was R.B. Bennett. I say so every time I run for Public Office.

 Craig Hagman
Craig Hagman
This is exactly why I have no respect for the NDP. The party has no vision apart from a very idealistic, very unrealistic notion of socialism that is completely out of touch with the real world. It is a party of the intellectual left who think they can mask their elitism with a very artificial and disgusting sense of political correctness and anti-Americanism.

Pat Stogran is a good man, a wonderful military officer and a gentleman. We need more of his kind in our Parliament and Legislatures.

In Canada, politics is a blood sport. It is filled with back room manipulators, con artists of every sort, and an endless parade of lobbyists whose only goal is money and power.

And it would seem that there is no way to actually address our needs as a nation any longer, we first have to feed these parasites.

Hey

I beg to differ BIGTIME.

I presume this email is about my account motomaniac333@gmail.com Correct? If so why did you send this notice to my son's Yahoo account instead of my original Gmail account just like you did on April 27th? Its kinda obvious to me the GOOGLE picked my son's Yahoo account not only because of my notice to the CRTC but because it knew that it still had my Gmail accounts disabled.

Did GOOGLE forget the following words it sent me on April 27th and the actions I took since then?

"If you don’t take any action soon, your account and all of its contents will be scheduled for deletion.
The Google Accounts team"

Scroll to the bottom of this email to review the entire email.

As I read email found immediately below first thing this morning an GOOGLE sent only to my son's Yahoo account and not to the one Gmail account of mine that was still enabled. Then as I go to log in I get notice that GOOGLE has disabled that account as well The obvious question is WHY?

Trust that I have a lot to say on this topic. However it is the only one I will send on this topic from my son's original Yahoo account as I offer inserted emails byway of my newly reenabled Gmail accounts to support what I say is is true. All further communications about my concerns will come byway of motomaniac333@gmail.com just they always have for years. The lawyers and my political opponents I am arguing  freely use Gmail in Canada and elsewhere. I have the same rights they do The CRTC should at least with that simple statement Correct Commissioner Jean-Pierre Blais?

Just so GOOGLE and the CRTC know I seldom use this Yahoo email account or my original Gmail account David.Raymond Amos@gmail.com because are both accounts are their limit of email storage. Hence I usually only send emails from my son's Yahoo account for personal matters and I use my original account  David.Raymond.Amos@gmail.com for legal matters that are now before the Federal Court of Canada

Just in case anyone forgot the Google Accounts Team has  blocked me from THREE Gmail accounts recently not just one. GOOGLE claimed the ACCOUNTS were disabled for some unexplained violation OF OUR CONTRACT. GOOGLE has a contract with the Canadian govenment byway of the CRTC to act ethically and their lawyers by the rule of law to act ethcally by their licence to practice law for a fee. Now that I made it well known byway of Twitter etc that I had made a complaint to the CRTC and other Feds it appears that your Google Accounts Team have finally decides to study the matter. It appears to me that they have had a change of heart and see no foul play on my part and are willing to "reenable" my account if I give you my phone number. I am compelled to ask how many times did I do that with THREE accounts recently and how many times did your computer declare that 902 800 0369 is not an acceptable number for GOOGLE to call in order to fix the problem it created in the first place?

On May 5th after I had made a complaint to the CRTC about GOOGLE's actions on May 4th byway of phone calls to the CRTC Commissioner's office and my son's old faithful yahoo email account, I created two new email accounts with GOOGLE for reasons explained above .The new accounts are motorcyclemaniac333@gmail.com and David.Raymond.Amos333@gmail.

On May 6th GOOGLE disabled both accounts immediately after I had managed to use them to receive a 6 forwarded emails my original Gmail account and exchange one email between both new accounts.

This morning after I receive the email above from GOOGLE to my son's Yahoo accont both of the aforesaid brand new Gmail accounts are working just fine without any further input from me whatsoever. Please explain that simple fact to me IN WRITING to motorcyclemaniac333@gmail.com.

As GOOGLE's lawyers well know I use the Gmail account that Google Accounts Team threatened to delete for communications with the Federal Court of Canada and legions of politicians, lawyers and cops etc around the world. More importantly I duly informed your lawyers that I stand before the Federal Court of Appeal in Canada on May 24th, 2017 and I will mention the recent malice that GOOGLE and its lawyers have practiced against me

Furthermore your all knowing computer won't accept my phone numbers but I have called your lawyer Jason Kee and your ex employee/lawyer Jacob Glick in Canada and introduced myself with it. That same phone number works just fine for the Federal Court of Canada and the USDOJ as well.

FYI I could not get through to your General Counsel David Drummond in the USA however he has received many emails from me since he was in trouble with the SEC in 2004 and best dare not deny it. Hence I looked u a lawsuit against GOOGLE in the USA by Yankee Feds and introduced myself to the lawyer the Yankee Feds served their documents upon.

For the record I offered GOOGLE'S computer a private home phone number of a good friend of mine in order to receive your "code' number. Trust that like me he cannot afford to have a mobile phone either.  I trust that GOOGLE will keep my friend's home phone number private as it promised.

That said once I did manage to log in to my main Gmail account I get to read this notice. Please do tell me how the Hell could I read such a thing when by GOOGLES own words the account was disabled? Need I say DUHHH???

More importantly the next email that was sent to me that was not spam came from the US Department of Homeland Security. In response to my concerns about my old age pension and my permanent resident status in the USA. Please don't try to tell me that the email found below is not pure Hell in a handbasket for the Feds in Canada and the USA EH?

Obviously i could not read it until today not thank to GOOGLE'S malicious actions against me.

Trust that I would like to know who complained of my email accounts and why GOOGLE and its  lawyers think sending legal documents to them and many cops, lawyers and fellow politicians is illegal simply because they do not wish to review the truth about themselves before I stand before the Federal Court of Appeal in Fredericton New Brunswick on May 24th 2017.

PLEASE REVIEW THE EMAIL I HAVE INSERTED BELOW

Obviously I made your your lawyers are well aware that after GOOGLE had disabled motomaniac333@gmail.com, an account that I have been using on a daily basis for years I made a complaint against GOOGLE to the CRTC, the RCMP, the FBI and even President Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen. I have received no response from any of them as of yet.

Whereas your computer does not like my phone number why did not your lawyer in Canada Jason Kee  or his boss Colin McKay return my calls? They could have given me the GOOGLE code number over the phone personally before I made a complaint against GOOGLE with the CRTC Correct?

Ex-Peter MacKay chief in key political role at Veterans Affairs
Goal to get 'smart team that understands the issues and can move
quickly': Erin O'Toole
By Murray Brewster, The Canadian Press Posted: Jan 13, 2015 7:19 AM ET|

The Harper government's efforts to rebuild bridges with veterans
appeared to ramp up Monday as newly appointed minister Erin O'Toole
recruited an experienced political hand as his top adviser.

In an interview, O'Toole himself confirmed the appointment.

He said he's working to surround himself with advisers who are already
familiar with the concerns of modern-day veterans.

"My goal has been to get a smart team that understands the issues and
that can move quickly," O'Toole said.

MacDonell served for six years as chief of staff to former defence
minister Peter MacKay and also worked closely with retired general
Walt Natynczyk, who is now the top bureaucrat at the veterans
department.

O'Toole and MacDonell have a political association that stretches back
to their days in Nova Scotia when both were involved in the provincial
Progressive Conservative party.

MacDonell's experience key to bringing veterans file under control: sources
The minister is getting up to speed in the portfolio, an exercise that
includes studying how to implement — and pay for — recommended
improvements to the government's controversial new veterans charter.

Government sources say MacDonell's experience at Defence through the
turbulent years of the Afghan war and his crisis-management skills
will be central to bringing the veterans file under control ahead of
an election later this year.

O'Toole, a former Sea King helicopter navigator, said he also hopes to
add the voices of more veterans to his office, but would not get into
specifics.

It's all part of a determined effort to put a fresh face on a
portfolio where issues have become a major political liability for the
Conservatives.

Fantino's tenure was marred by a scathing auditor general's report,
testy confrontations with veterans groups and cries of incompetence
from opposition parties.

The Conservatives, and the Liberals before them, have tried before to
get veterans more involved in the department, which takes care of the
military's ill and injured, only to see them clash with the entrenched
bureaucracy.

Former veterans ombudsman Pat Stogran, the ex-colonel who led Canada's
first battle group in Afghanistan, was one of those appointments.

He has become an ardent critic of the system and the government, which
he described "penny-pinching" when he left the post four years ago.

Lessons were learned on all sides, O'Toole said.

"Those early attempts (at inclusion) led to some challenges," said the minister.

"But the department knows it will be helpful to have the perspective
of veterans within the department."

Veterans advocacy group reportedly off advisory panel
The Hill Times, an Ottawa-based publication, reported Monday that
outspoken critics such as Canadian Veterans Advocacy have been booted
from a government-sponsored advisory panel that provides policy input
to the minister.

The group's president, Mike Blais, told the publication that the news
came in a voice mail left on his phone last week, prompting a jab from
the NDP: "When Julian Fantino upset veterans, he at least had the good
grace to do it in person and not with a voice mail."

O'Toole disputed the report, insisting that dissenting voices are not
being shut out.

He said he reached out to Blais shortly after being appointed, and
intends to keep doing so. But he was unclear whether the group would
return to the panel.

In the voice message, obtained late Monday, the minister said he wants
to deal with "groups that are truly non-profit, fraternal
organizations that have bylaws, directors and annual general meetings,
not just a Facebook page."

He said he wanted to hear the group's "plan to become that."

Canadian Veterans Advocacy and several other groups which had promised
to campaign against the Conservatives in the next election were
excluded from the advisory panel at a meeting in Quebec City last
fall.

"I have been trying to reach out to all of them and see how we can
engage all of them," O'Toole said.

Blais, however, says his group does have a board, non-profit status
and more importantly it represents the wounded.

The government is interested in talking only to "friendly
organizations," he added.

Summary
Case summaries are prepared by the Office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court of Canada (Law Branch) for information purposes only.

Employment law - Constructive dismissal - Repudiation of employment
contract - Appellant holding public office pursuant to appointment by
Lieutenant-Governor in Council - Parties in discussions seeking to
bring employment contract to end when appellant suspended with pay for
indefinite period - Appellant initiating action for constructive
dismissal - Commission stopping his pay and benefits, arguing that
appellant effectively resigned when he initiated action - Whether
administrative suspension which the employer intends will end with
termination of employment contract constitutes constructive dismissal
- Whether employee necessarily resigns by bringing action for
constructive dismissal - Whether amounts received under a pension
should be deducted from damages for constructive dismissal

In 2006, the appellant was appointed as the Executive Director of the
New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission by the Lieutenant-Governor
in Council of New Brunswick. His appointment was for a seven-year
term.

A few years into the appellant’s term, relations with the Commission’s
Board of Directors deteriorated and discussions about finding a
mutually acceptable method of bringing his contract to an end began.
In January 2010 and while he was on sick leave, the appellant was
advised that he was not to return to work until further direction from
the Commission and that his salary would continue to be paid in the
meantime. Unbeknownst to the appellant, that same day, the Commission
had sent a letter to the Minister of Justice recommending that the
Lieutenant-Governor in Council revoke the appellant’s appointment.

In March 2010, the appellant filed an action against the Commission,
claiming that he had been constructively dismissed. The Commission
took the position that, by claiming constructive dismissal, the
appellant had effectively resigned his position. The Commission
immediately stopped his salary and benefits.

Pat Stogran quits NDP leadership race, slamming party for 'selfish, incompetent politics'

Afghan veteran says insiders blocked his candidacy and called for reform of party

The Canadian Press Posted: Jun 03, 2017 3:20 PM ET

'The fight to take on politics incorporated while also trying to take on the insiders of a political party that has no desire to see me win has proven insurmountable,' Pat Stogren said in a YouTube video Saturday.
'The fight to take on politics incorporated while also trying to take on the insiders of a political party that has no desire to see me win has proven insurmountable,' Pat Stogren said in a YouTube video Saturday. (Sean Kilpatrick/Canadian Press)

One of the candidates for the federal NDP leadership race is quitting, blaming party insiders who he says don't want to see him win.

Pat Stogran posted a video Saturday on YouTube, saying the inside workings of the NDP are "fundamentally flawed."

"The fight to take on politics incorporated while also trying to take on the insiders of a political party that has no desire to see me win has proven insurmountable," he said in the five-minute video.

Thank you, Canada

Pat Stogran NDP

Published on Jun 3, 2017
An announcement from Colonel (ret'd) Pat Stogran.

He also said the party has put "major obstacles" in place for candidates trying to grow the party's base from the grassroots.

Stogran is a former military officer who served in Afghanistan and said serving for the greater good was his "calling in life."

But he said, "As I enter my golden years, I came to the conclusion that my love for family far outweighs my love for politics, especially selfish, incompetent politics."
