The death of Diamond was celebrated by her sister, Silk, who assailed the government of the poison that (she believes) took the life of Diamond. They were major supporters of Donald Trump and, surprisingly, he seems to have forgotten some of their numerous encounters together. Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene has called for a Congressional investigation of the Covid vaccines, which are causing death and injury on an unprecedented scale around the world. The climate fanatics are shitting bricks that Elon Musk has opened Twitter to those who question their (pseudo-scientific) narrative, which is a good thing. And a gay couple who adopted two boys have been arrested for sexually abusing them and pimping them out to other pedophiles. Trudeau, cabinet pursued by protesters at Hamilton retreatA small group of protesters launched fireworks at the conference centre where the cabinet retreat is underwayA small but vocal group of roughly 20 protesters has set up outside Trudeau's hotel and the site of the retreat. The protesters have used techniques similar to those deployed by the protest convoy that converged on Ottawa a year ago. The Hamilton crowd has shouted at the prime minister at all hours of the day — taunting him with chants of "tyrant" and "traitor" and cries of "f*** Trudeau," while carrying flags and signs bearing the same messages. One protester has carried a "We love the fringe" flag — a reference to Trudeau's past comment that anti-vaccine elements in Canada constitute a "fringe minority."
They also have been honking car horns in the early morning hours. Some of the protesters have draped themselves in the Canadian flag, a fashion choice that was followed by some anti-vaccine mandate protesters on Parliament Hill last year. The demonstrators are vehemently opposed to the prime minister's handling of the COVID-19 health crisis and his policy of vaccine mandates for travellers and some cross-border workers — policies that were dropped last year as part of a push to return to pre-pandemic life.
The protesters also have been carrying signs denouncing the World Economic Forum (WEF), a non-governmental organization that hosts discussions between world and business leaders at an annual summit in Davos, Switzerland. The WEF is at the centre of many COVID-related conspiracy theories because, in 2020, some of its leaders talked about a "great reset" after the health crisis — a chance to evaluate how the global economy is structured after grappling with such a devastating pandemic. On Tuesday evening, as Trudeau and his cabinet walked across the street to a local restaurant for dinner, a crowd gathered — prompting the RCMP protection detail to close ranks and shuffle him into the hotel through a side entrance to avoid some angry elements of the crowd. The demonstrators pounded on the windows of the restaurant, Bread Bar, a move that unsettled a number of the cabinet ministers inside, sources said. WATCH: Crowd gathers to protest Trudeau's policies during cabinet retreat in Hamilton  Some cabinet ministers also shielded their colleagues from the demonstrators as they encircled Trudeau and his entourage on the walk back to the conference complex, said sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The Bread Bar protesters also carried an inflatable sheep wearing a face mask, with a sign that read "99.8 per cent survival rate" — a reference to COVID-19.
On Monday night, the protesters launched fireworks at the hotel building — pelting the windows of the mezzanine-level bar — prompting the considerable security presence assembled at the hotel to lower the blinds and discreetly move Trudeau away from windows. The fireworks were back again Tuesday evening as protesters directed their firepower at the windows of the 301-room Sheraton Hamilton Hotel. Trudeau wasn't in the room as the fireworks bounced off the building. There are local police and RCMP officers stationed at all entrances in and out of the hotel-conference centre complex. They've blocked some people who are thought to be part of the demonstrations from entering the space.
About a half-dozen protesters were on hand at the city's McMaster Automotive Resource Centre as Trudeau toured the facility and spoke to reporters about an upcoming federal-provincial summit on health-care funding. "F*** you, Trudeau," one of them shouted as police kept protesters at bay, and as Trudeau and his ministers hopped in their cars to head back to the conference centre.
In a statement sent to CBC News, Hamilton Police said no arrests have been made in relation to any of the cabinet retreat protests. The police said they were prepared for Tuesday's demonstrations outside the Sheraton Hotel and Bread Bar restaurant and "proactively closed off" some streets in the city's downtown core to "facilitate a peaceful demonstration and to ensure the orderly movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the city." "Hamilton Police continue to recognize the fundamental rights of individuals to peacefully protest, as identified in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms,' the police said. "Our goal is to keep the peace and maintain a safe environment for everyone." Asked about the security situation Wednesday at the retreat's closing news conference, Trudeau said he doesn't think the demonstrators represent the people of Hamilton. "Let me say that the welcome that I've gotten here in Hamilton has been extraordinary. The people I've met, the students here, the folks and teams that I met in various places during our couple of days here have been thoughtful and open and warm," Trudeau said. "And a handful of angry people do not define what Hamilton is or what democracy is." Finnish foreign minister muses about joining NATO without neighbour before backtracking on comment
Finland's top diplomat appeared to suggest Tuesday that the country may have to consider joining NATO without Sweden after Turkey's president cast serious doubt on the expansion of the military alliance.
"We still have to evaluate the situation if it turns out that Sweden's application is stalling for a long time to come," Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto told Finnish broadcaster YLE.
His comment came a day after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Sweden not to expect support for its bid for NATO membership following weekend protests in Stockholm by an anti-Islam activist and pro-Kurdish groups.
It was the first time a leading government official in either country had appeared to raise doubts about joining the alliance together.
Haavisto later backpedalled, telling reporters in parliament that his comment earlier Tuesday had been "imprecise" and that Finland's ambition to join NATO jointly with Sweden remained unchanged.
He said he had spoken with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who had stressed to Haavisto that the military bloc would like to see the two Nordic nations join simultaneously.
"But of course there have been raised concerns within NATO on how the incidents in Sweden will affect the schedule," Haavisto said.
Sweden concerned by remark
The bid by Sweden and Finland to join NATO needs the approval of all existing NATO members, including Turkey, which has so far blocked the expansion, saying Sweden in particular needs to crack down on exiled Kurdish militants and their sympathizers.
Until now, Sweden and Finland have been committed to joining the alliance together, but Haavisto's comment to YLE raised concerns that Finland was considering proceeding without its Nordic neighbour.
"We are in contact with Finland to find out what is really meant," Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom said in a statement to The Associated Press. "Sweden respects the agreement between Sweden, Finland and Turkey regarding our NATO membership. We have done that so far and we shall continue to do so."
In a memorandum of understanding signed by the three countries at a NATO summit last year, Sweden and Finland committed not to support Kurdish militant groups and to lift arms embargoes on Turkey imposed after its incursion into northern Syria in 2019.
Pro-Kurdish and anti-Turkish demonstrations in Stockholm have complicated the process. On Saturday, a far-right activist from Denmark staged a protest outside the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm where he burned the Qur'an, Islam's holy book. A separate pro-Kurdish demonstration was held later Saturday in the Swedish capital.
The Swedish government has tried to distance itself from the demonstrations, while insisting that such protests are allowed under the country's freedom of speech.
Turkey responded angrily to the protests, cancelling a planned visit to Ankara by the Swedish defence minister. Protests were held outside Swedish diplomatic missions in Ankara and Istanbul.

"It is clear that those who allowed such vileness to take place in front of our embassy can no longer expect any charity from us regarding their NATO membership application," he said.
He also criticized the pro-Kurdish demonstration, accusing Sweden of letting "terror organizations run wild on your avenues and streets." He said that if Sweden won't show respect to Turkey or Muslims, then "they won't see any support from us on the NATO issue."

Matti Pesu, a researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, said Haavisto's comment was "the first public signal that there is a Plan B if the Swedish NATO membership bid freezes for a longer time."
He stressed that Finland still prioritizes joining the alliance together with Sweden.
"Having Sweden as a fellow NATO ally is a vital security interest for Finland," he said. "Finland should consider other alternatives only if there was a serious possibility of a significant delay in Sweden's NATO bid and only if NATO allies welcomed Finland's entry without Sweden."
Finnish President Sauli Niinisto, who visited Ukraine on Tuesday, said he didn't expect any progress on the issue before the Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections set to be held on May 14.
Turkey and Hungary are the only NATO members that have yet to ratify Finland and Sweden's accession.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Friday his country doesn’t
like the idea of Finland and Sweden joining NATO.
Finland’s leaders announced Thursday their intention to pursue
membership in the transatlantic military alliance “without delay.”
Sweden is expected to follow suit in the coming days. But those moves,
which come in response to Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine, have sparked
criticism in Turkey, which has been a NATO member since 1952.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has rarely been more isolated on
the European stage — but he has seized on plans for a Russian oil ban
to show he remains an EU power player.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the outspoken right-wing
populist has taken a softer line on Russia than other Western leaders,
backing sanctions on Moscow but refusing to send arms to Kyiv and
allowing state-owned and government-friendly media outlets to promote
Russia’s narrative on the war.
That stance has not only distanced Orbán from other Western capitals.
It has also put him at odds with his only reliable longtime EU ally,
Poland’s right-wing nationalist government, and drawn the ire of
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
