Yea Right its a slam dunk for the LIEbranos in Scarborough Agincourt
just like it is on The Rock and for the neocons in Louis Riel's old
stomping grounds. Methinks it is rather obvious why the sneaky lawyer
Jagmeet Singh would not dare to put his name on the ballot in the very
spot he was born. Methinks the big talker needs a safe NDP seat to
find a seat in Parliament. However I truly don't believe there is any
such thing anymore N'esy Pas Mr Mulcair? BTW why haven't you quit yet?
The only close race I see on the 11th is in South Surrey BC with a
LIEbrano Gordon Hogg versus Kerry-Lynne Findlay Harper's crooked old
boss of the CRA. I truly would prefer that the evil woman Findlay
finds a seat in Parliament again particularly while my lawsuits head
for the Supreme Court. One more LIEbrano whom nobody east of BC has
heard of ain't gonna make any difference to the rest of us whom
"Canada's Natural Governing Party" pretends to protect and serve EH?.

Byelection battle heats up in Scarborough-Agincourt
by Nitish Bissonauth and News Staff
A crucial seat is up for grabs in the Scarborough-Agincourt riding, as
candidates prepare for a byelection on Dec.11.
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh visited the riding, greeting supporters at
the Black Gold Café.
“This is incredible, this is literally where I was born, this has a
nice homecoming feel” said Singh about the reception.
While he doesn’t have a seat in Parliament, Singh says
Scarborough-Agincourt isn’t the place for him to run, despite it being
home turf. Instead he’s endorsing local hopeful Brian Chang, saying
the candidate has history in the area, currently resides in the
community and is engaged with the people.
He told CityNews one of the important concerns in the riding is
affordable housing, criticizing Prime Minster Justin Trudeau’s 10
year, $40 billion national strategy
“Housing crisis is right now, we need immediate action today” said
Singh. “When we have a government announcement that talks about
funding after an election, that’s cynical”
Chang is optimistic that after 30 years Liberal dominance, voters want
an alternative.
“They are not allowed to dominate the discussion, people want another
alternative and that’s what I am” said Chang. “Life is difficult here
in Scarborough-Agincourt, the average income here is 32 thousand
dollars, the poverty line is 28 thousand in Toronto, we’re not too far
off from that”
For him, the main issue in the riding is income inequality and he
plans to address precarious work.
While the NDP met with supporters, Liberal candidate Jean Yip was
hitting the pavement to meet voters door-to-door in the same riding.
She’s running for the seat left vacant by her late husband Arnold
Chan. He lost his battle with cancer in September.Chan first won a
byelection in Scarborough-Agincourt in 2014 and once again in 2015.
Yip wants to focus on seniors, tax cuts and the middle class — issues
she says were also dear to her husband.
“I would like to help him finish his legacy” said Yip, “I feel
connected and I’m happy to represent Scarborough-Agincourt after Dec.
11”
The byelection in Scarborough-Agincourt is just one of four happening
in the country. Voters will be heading to the polls in the ridings of
Battlefords-Lloydminster in Saskatchewan, Bonavista-Burin-Trinity in
Newfoundland and Labrador and South Surrey-White Rock in British
Columbia

Ken Finlayson running as independent

It’s official: Ken Finlayson is running for Parliament as an independent.
Elections Canada’s site has confirmed that Finlayson is on the list of candidates running in the federal by-election in Battlefords-Lloydminster.
As of Sunday night the other confirmed candidates on the ballot were Rosemarie Falk of the Conservatives, Matt Fedler of the NDP, Larry Ingram of the Liberals and Yvonne Potter-Pihach of the Green Party. Elections Canada had set a 2 pm Monday deadline for all nominations to be in.
Finlayson, who has been a rancher and rodeo cowboy among his various pursuits, had previously attempted to seek the Conservative nomination but was rejected by the party’s nomination committee.
Afterwards, there were calls by supporters for Finlayson to enter the race as an independent. In a post on his Facebook campaign page Sunday, Finlayson stated he had gotten his nomination papers in to Elections Canada the previous day.
“Some people have smugly told us we "don't have a snowball's chance in Hell!" as an independent candidate,” Finlayson stated. “Well that don't change the reasons we're here! Just changes the height of the hill we got to climb.”

Conservatives nominate four candidates for upcoming by-elections
Rosemarie Falk, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Mike Windsor, and Dasong Zou will
be on the ballot for the Conservative Party
November 13, 2017
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OTTAWA, ON – After a weekend of nomination meetings, the list of
Conservative candidates for the four by-elections has now been
finalized. In Battlefords-Lloydminster, Rosemarie Falk has been
nominated to represent the party. In South Surrey-White Rock, the
former Minister of National Revenue, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, will stand
for the Conservatives. For Scarborough-Agincourt, Dasong Zou will be
the candidate, and in Bonavista-Burin-Trinity, Mike Windsor will again
be the candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada.
"I am proud to have these candidates on our team, and I know they are
going to work hard in these by-elections to deliver our positive
Conservative vision for this country," said Andrew Scheer, Leader of
Canada's Conservatives. "More and more people are realizing that the
Liberal policies are hurting the very people they claim they want to
help. Meanwhile, Canadians are tired of seeing one set of rules for
Liberals and their well-connected friends, and another for everyone
else.”
“Incredibly, for the first time in our entire Canadian history, both
the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister are under investigation
for breaking federal law. Voters in these ridings have a unique
opportunity to send a clear message and ensure this government is kept
honest by electing Conservative MPs that will hold the Liberals to
account," concluded Scheer.
Over the next four weeks, the Conservative Party’s candidates will be
out introducing themselves to voters on the doorsteps, and discussing
with Canadians one-on-one what their priorities are.
The by-election date for all four ridings is on December 11, 2017.

Justin Trudeau stumps for Liberals in Surrey ahead of federal byelection
CKNW By Simon Little
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in the Metro Vancouver area on
Saturday to campaign for a Liberal candidate in this month’s federal
byelection in Surrey.
The riding of South Surrey-White Rock is up for grabs after former
Conservative MP Dianne Watts resigned to seek the BC Liberal
leadership.
Trudeau is attending a campaign event for former White Rock mayor and
B.C. Liberal MLA Gordon Hogg.
Hogg is locked in what is expected to be a tight battle with former
Conservative National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
The area has traditionally voted Conservative but in the 2015 federal
election, the Tories’ Watts won the seat by fewer than 1,500 votes
over Liberal Judy Higgenbotham, amid the Liberals’ “red surge” across
the Lower Mainland.
The New Democrats, who won just over 10 per cent of the vote in 2015,
are running Jonathan Silveira.
The real estate agent and founder of Surrey Kids Matter ran
unsuccessfully for the BC NDP in the May provincial election.
Trudeau’s visit, his second within a month, may indicate that the
Liberals see the riding as winnable. The party has also dispatched
Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan to the riding to help with
on-the-ground campaigning.
Newly minted federal Conservative leader Andrew Scheer also made an
appearance in the riding last month.
South Surrey-White Rock voters will go to the polls on Dec. 11.

Biography
Ken
Finlayson is a cowboy – a ranch cowboy and former rodeo cowboy – which
belies a character and nature which is considerably more sophisticated
than what conventional wisdom holds of
the stereotype. He is, as well, a Western and Native history buff.
Ken’s love affair with cows, horses, grass and history began as a small
boy with the stories of his Great Grandfather settling in the North
Battleford, Saskatchewan area in 1879. Larger than life itself,
Grandfather was a man to be emulated.
Ken’s life affair from that time onward has been one of a love of the land, cows and horses. His method of working with animals is to watch and listen to what the animals are telling him … the psychology of animal behaviour. He grew up to be a self-employed rancher, running up to 2,000 plus head of cattle using Holistic Range Management techniques. By employing these holistic principals of grazing management, he was able to reduce his acreage requirements by half … effectively doubling the capacity of the ranch.
Ken’s business experience includes developing the concept and proposals to create The Cree Cattle Company on the Moosemin Indian Reserve – a company whose mandate included all aspects of Social Economic development in addition to farming and ranching in a Reserve setting. He worked for Hunter’s Trailer & Marine in North Battleford in sales and Public Relations, and opened Daines Western Shop where he produced and won National Advertising Awards.
With a remarkable history of Community participation, Ken helped organize the Battleford area’s first Light Horse Club; became Director of Battleford’s Agricultural Society; Introduced Chuck Wagon Racing to the North Battleford Exhibition; acted as principal organizer of the First North Battleford Kinsmen Indoor Rodeo; organized the Battlefords first Team Roping Club – hosting it at his own ranch; Sponsored two successful Ranch Roping schools; Organized and produced several rodeos on local Indian Reserves; acted as Vice President of the Kakeyow Rodeo Association – an entry-level rodeo association formed partly to foster better race relations in his community by encouraging amateur rodeo at the community level, and organized the Scent Grass Lake Feeder Co-operative - an association which now holds thousands of cattle.
Ken’s long standing interest in public service has in the past contributed to his public speaking skills as a political candidate. (Cypress Hills – Grasslands constituency federally & Redberry provincially)
Since selling his own ranch, Ken has spent summers guiding riders (Including British Military Combat Troops) in the Ghost River Wilderness area and Kananasksis Wilderness areas of the Rocky Mountains in Canada.
Winters have been spent driving long haul trucks throughout Canada and the USA from the Atlantic to Pacfic and the Artic Ocean to The Rio Grande.
When not trucking Ken cowboy’d fulltime on large ranches from the foothills of Alberta to the vast prairie of south west Saskatchewan.
In 2011 Ken was one of four finalists featured in the Reality TV Series, “ManTracker”. The particular episode is called ‘The Search for ManTracker”.
Ken is a seasoned speaker, teacher, story teller and published writer, he has been featured in the publication Au Cheval Mon Ami! – a travel book written and produced in France describing a horseback wilderness adventure in the Rocky Mountains with their guide and wrangler Ken, as well, he has been featured in the Canadian Business publication, Canadian Business. Ken brings a professionalism to his life work that inspires old and young alike.

STORY
My Great grandfather settled here on the banks of the Battle River six miles west of Battleford in 1879.
The family was burnt out in the Riel Rebellion of 1885 (or "Hostilities" as grandma referred to it).
They barley escaped a marauding War party thanks to a warning from a Stony woman friend named "Ott Che Chee" (Fingers). Grandma had nursed Ott Chee Chee's baby a year before (1884) when Ott Chee Chee didn't have milk to nurse her newborn. My grandfather Ken Finlayson (who I'm named for) shared his mothers breast milk with Ott Chee Chee's baby.
Our Great grandfather (Dan Finlayson) had refused to leave his homestead in spite of warnings from the North West Mounted Police for all settlers to come into the stockade at Battleford after the outbreak of the violence at Duck Lake March 26 1885 where a brother in law (Alfred (Bull) Stewart badge #400 NWMP ) was wounded. (12 NWMP- six rebels killed).
Because Dan was a personal friend of Poundmaker (head Chief, who he had helped in building Pondmaker's log home) he felt safe.
What he failed to realize was that Poundmaker didn't have complete control over the young warriors who were anxious for a fight.
Fortunately Ott Chee Chee forced the family into a wagon at the last minute saving their lives. (their place was on fire before they were out of sight)
In 1892 the family moved to the Round Hill district NE of North Battleford. There were only four families on the north side of the North Saskatchewan River in the area at the time.
I grew up immersed in this legacy of colorful stories of our families early history in the "North West".
My grandfather Ken Finlayson was a "Bronc Rider" of some local renown due to the family being in the road and railroad construction business.
As it still does today, road building required "Horsepower" Lots of it!
Consequently our grandfathers full time job was "breaking and training " hundreds of horses to keep the outfit working as horses were always getting sick, injured, old or dying.
My dads father died when he was just six years old so in his eyes his dad was always larger than life.
As boy I listened to these stories about the man I was named after and tried to emulate him. This brought me to Bronc riding at an early age finally culminating in a broken neck (Bull riding) in Calgary in 1975.
So if I ever meet this man I'm named after I'm going to slug him, because after listening to all those stories and trying to emulate a dead man whose legend grew larger and harder to beat with each passing year, he nearly got me killed in 1975!
My dad "rode the rails" to Ontario to find work in the 1930's, blazed the trail for the American Army during the construction of the Alaska Highway during the Second World War. (He was a foreman for JW Millar formerly of North Battleford at the time, founder of "Millar Western").
In 1954 our parents returned to the family farm (and a very deralict house) in the Glenrose district NE of North battleford to raise their family of two boys and two girls.
Here we attended a one room country school. We learned much from a passionate teacher named
Mike Sulatisky and his wife Mary who also played an active role in our education.
Upon graduating from High school in North Battleford I worked at various jobs over the years from heavy equipment operator to sales to subsidize my Farming/Ranching habit.
Please see my "Biography" for a more comprehensive list of life's work.
After leaving my ranch in 2003 I have decided to return home (where my heart has always been) to see if I can't serve the community I have always loved once more.
However in order to serve you I need YOUR help!
Because it takes more than good intentions and best wishes to win.
It takes committed people who will show up to get the word out. To get people out to vote.
