Mark Carney FINISHED: Liberal Elite Already Dumping Their "Savior" + CPP TRAP Exposed – RCP EP85
Poilievre's byelection win sets the table for his return to Parliament this fall
Conservative leader's attention now turns to fall sitting of Parliament and upcoming leadership review
After a summer of rodeos, dinosaurs and door-knocking, Pierre Poilievre is now officially heading back to Ottawa as a Conservative member of Parliament for Alberta.
The Tory leader will represent the sprawling rural riding of Battle River–Crowfoot, in the province's eastern region, after winning a byelection on Monday.
"Getting to know the people in this region has been the privilege of my life," Poilievre told a crowd at a victory party in Camrose, Alta., on Monday night. "In fact, I've had a hell of a lot of fun."
Poilievre spent weeks this summer meeting constituents, attending events and stopping by local businesses in his new riding.
It was precisely the kind of boots-on-the-ground campaign he ran in 2004 when he became an MP for the first time in the Ontario riding of Carleton.
It's also exactly the kind of local campaign he could not run in Carleton in the spring, when his leader's tour criss-crossed the country for 36 days, before holding a final rally in his home riding the night before the April 28 election.
Poilievre lost to Liberal MP Bruce Fanjoy, who had spent more than two years campaigning against him in the Ottawa-area riding.
Poilievre's return to the House of Commons in one of the safest Conservative seats in Canada was all but guaranteed, observers said.
Now Poilievre's attention will turn to two things: the fall sitting of Parliament and his upcoming leadership review.
Top priorities
When Parliament resumes on Sept. 15, Poilievre will square off with Prime Minister Mark Carney in the House of Commons for the first time.
"The [Conservative] Party and the country have moved past the election campaign. We're now in a new government. He's going to have to show that he's really good at holding their feet to the fire," said Amanda Galbraith, a Conservative strategist and partner at Oyster Group.
Poilievre has already signalled some of what he plans to focus on. At a news conference on Aug. 7, he said he will introduce a bill in the House of Commons called the Canadian Sovereignty Act to speed up the development of major projects.
He also said Conservatives were calling on Carney to begin construction of at least two pipeline projects, a new natural gas liquefaction project and a road to the Ring of Fire in Ontario by March 14.
With Poilievre once again leading the party in Parliament, Andrew Scheer will return to his Opposition House leader duties. There will be changes to the party's front bench, too.
The Conservative leader pledged in the spring to shuffle his "shadow cabinet" — a group of 74 MPs appointed to critic or leadership roles in the House of Commons — this fall.
"We've seen which ministers are performing, which ministers are not, where the weaknesses lie in that government. So they'll realign," said Galbraith.
Poilievre's former campaign manager, Jenni Byrne, said in a recent podcast interview that the fall House sitting is when "the real next chapter starts" for the party.
The Conservatives will focus on issues like immigration and crime, said Byrne, who noted in the interview that she's still involved as an adviser to Poilievre and takes calls on a daily basis.
The cost of living will likely remain a top priority for the Opposition, particularly as trade and U.S. tariffs command the government's attention.
Leadership review to start 2026
Ginny Roth, a partner at Crestview Strategy and a Conservative commentator, said Poilievre has been successful as Opposition leader in pointing out the places "where Canadians are struggling and where the government is failing."
The Conservative Party will hold a national convention in Calgary in late January. The party's constitution stipulates that any leader who has just lost an election will face a vote on their future.
Running a byelection campaign all summer has meant Poilievre has not been travelling the country.
Poilievre meets a supporter during a break at a Battle River-Crowfoot byelection candidate forum in Camrose, Alta., on July 29. (Jason Franson/The Canadian Press)
The rallies that were a fixture of his leadership since 2022 have been scrapped in favour of door-knocking. And while that's likely given him a good window into the mindset of Conservative voters during the Carney government's post-election honeymoon, it's also meant he has not been in the national spotlight.
"While that might feel frustrating when you come off this high-energy election, I think it was the right approach. Lie low, get back to basics," Roth said.
The Tory caucus has been firm in its support for Poilievre, and it is widely expected that he will win the leadership review — not least because no one has so far publicly challenged his leadership.
"There's a lot to be excited about and I think Conservative members will recognize that in the leadership review," Roth said.
Galbraith said things can shift quickly, and Poilievre can't take the leadership review for granted.
"For example, he was going to be prime minister until he wasn't going to be prime minister, right?" she said.

U.S. State Department takes aim at Canada’s Online News ActThe U.S. State Department is taking aim at Canada’s Online News Act in a new human rights report, warning that it undermines press freedom.
The U.S. State Department is taking aim at Canada’s Online News Act in a new human rights report, warning that it undermines press freedom as hundreds of news organizations across the country have begun receiving funding under the law. Unlike the legacy media, Juno News receives ZERO tax-dollars. Help us fight Ottawa’s censorship regime. Become a Juno News premium subscriber today. The report includes the Act in a section on freedom of the press, saying “significant curtailments remain despite Canada generally respecting free expression.” It flagged concerns with the Act, as well as journalism tax credits and federal media programs, including a diversity hiring stream it claimed discriminates “against journalists who fell outside of these favoured categories.” Under the Online News Act, tech platforms are required to compensate Canadian news outlets for their content. Platforms like Meta, which did not comply with the mechanism, were barred from posting news articles on their platforms, effectively censoring news outlets and their accounts on Facebook and Instagram in Canada. Google shared concerns about the law but eventually struck a deal to provide $100 million annually. The Canadian Journalism Collective administers the funds and began disbursing money in March. By July 31, more than $55 million had been distributed to Canadian and Indigenous news businesses, with the largest recipients including mainstream outlets like the CBC ($6.86 million), Bell Media ($5.32 million), Postmedia ($4.27 million), Corus ($3.34 million) and Rogers Media ($2.11 million). Prime Minister Mark Carney said last week that he is open to repealing the Act, but his government maintains its implementation is ongoing. The State Department report comes amid broader U.S. opposition to Canadian digital regulation, with some Republicans urging President Donald Trump to push Ottawa to scrap the Online Streaming Act as well. Canada currently ranks 21st in the world on the press freedom index by Reporters Without Borders.

It should be blatantly obvious that I did not slander or libel Greg Vezina
In fact I had never heard of Vezina until Partap Dua mentioned us in
the same sentence as they hustled many people to run under their
banner last August
Vezina ignored my emails until I called his latest buddy running in
Toronto Centre today

Subject: NEED CANDIDATES FOR SEP 20 FEDERAL ELECTIONS
"The Direct Democracy platform will open up healthy debate and dialogue
online through a voting system to draw attention of other complacent
Canadians who are so absorbed in their own selves. It will give new
perspectives and ability to understand the plight of fellow humans. At
present no one listens. If you are falling in life, the system will keep
pushing you down and down because NO ONE IS ACCOUNTABLE.
There have been people like David Amos and Greg Vezina who have spent all
their lives fighting injustice, and not many Canadians cared.. And then
there are people like Yuri Duboisky and other young leaders who took on the
mantle to launch parties at provincial levels. It is hard when they don't
find support. Each and every time we gravitate towards the same old
parties, whose MPs are as useless as anything, that they don't have the
drive in them to work for Canadians.
I have had interactions with various such MPs and the few that come to my
mind are Bill Blair, Helena Jaczek, Bob Saroya, Navdeep Bains, Marco
Mendicino and Canada's ultimate MP Justin Trudeau himself. The bureaucrats
run this country with no accountability by elected members.
Anyway, I am making an appeal to all of you to please run for our party in
this election. You need to take out just 6 days of your life till 30th
August to file your nomination papers and then relax. We are spearheading
the media campaign centrally, as the door-to-door campaign is not going to
work due to paucity of time. I understand many of you may be handicapped,
old or not well. But this is your moment. These will be the 6 days of your
life you will remember to tell the next generation that you participated in
the biggest mass movement for democracy."

Dear friends,
'Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown'.
My crown was becoming quite heavy in my 16 years of constant politics
struggle, so I decided to appoint a co-leader from Quebec to lead the party
into the 'suddenly announced' snap federal election by Justin Trudeau. His
name is James McNair, from Pontiac riding in Quebec.
We are preparing our tour bus for the elections. We need funding.
Most of you have approached Canada's Fourth Front just recently, while some
of you have been fighting an individual war against the establishment and
the ineffective Government that takes people for granted. Some of you have
been with us since the last election of 2019, and some from before.
Though we lost comfortably in 2019 due to our party's late registration
in September 2019, we did leave a mark on many Canadians. And for that
reason many parties approached us in this election to join hands. We could
not have joined hands with 'single' issue parties, so we chose selectively
a silent movement trying to build direct democracy in this country, where
individual Canadians can raise issues and the parliament would be required
to debate on them. Also it would involve a 6-monthly report card on MPs. If
they don't perform, and fail 2 times, they would be automatically recalled.
Also an online referendum with 6,000 'yes' votes in a riding could recall
an MP. And many more issues. We want to give dignity of life to all
Canadians irrespective of race, origin or sexual orientation, and more
specifically to people with disabilities who fall through the cracks.
The 'Direct Democracy' platform would allow everyone in Canada, however
small a group they are, to take their issues for online discussion and a
vote, so as to draw attention of all Canadians to a vital issue. For
example many of us may not understand what issues are faced by people who
have children with disabilities, or by persons who have specific sexual
orientations or by those fed up of human rights abuses, or by farmers being
deprived of legitimate guns in the name of curbing killings, or by those
who want to raise alarms against Canada's subserviency to United States, or
by those wanting Canada to focus at home rather than joining in hate wars
with other countries, or by those alarmed by extreme left or right politics
causing divisions in the country, or by those communities living in fear of
others, or by those concerned about deliberate neglect of western provinces
because of too much attention on Ontario, or by thoise concerned with too
much power in hands of police , RCMP and CSIS that is destroying families,
or by those fed up of Canada's 'UNJUDICIOUS' Judicial system that is
grinding lives of many in petty issues that drag on forever, or by those
hung up for years in the mad immigration system, or by those who are
concerned about future of workers in logging and gas industry, or by
Canadian farmers concerned about their existence in Canada, or by those for
and agianst legalization of pot, or by those who are concerned about lack
of focus on alternate industries to replace lost jobs in Alberta and BC, or
by those who are fed up of 3 main parties twhich have been fooling
Canadians with standard election slogans of healthcare, education and
taxes-without actrually doing anything tangible or measurable. All the
three parties are chips of the same block. In my personal opinion, the most
complacent are the Liberals, who laugh at the simplicity of Candians and
especially the immigrants, assuming theys have no choice.
The Direct Democracy platform will open up healthy debate and dialogue
online through a voting system to draw attention of other complacent
These will be the 6 days of your
life you will remember to tell the next generation that you participated in
the biggest mass movement for democracy. This is how you will do it.
*Please narrow down 10-12 close friends or acquaintances you know in the
riding you want to run. Distribute one signature page to each of them (copy
enclosed to photocopy). You need to collect 100 signatures at least from
citizens 18 years of age or over (target should be 130 as some signatures
are rejected for being out of riding). NO PR, NO Student, No Convention
Refugee and no visitor can sign the endorsement. The person collecting will
sign at the end of the day at bottom as witness, and the candidate can do
for himself or herself for pages the candidate is collecting. A page can
have less than 10 signatures but the total signatures must be 130. That is
all. And then you call James McNair, c- leader, CFF at 343-996-2253(c) or
our office or 416-613-1571 or myself at 647-621-3547(c). Better msg by
email or text as we are so short of time to take on calls. I request you to
motivate at least 1 or 2 of your friends, brothers, sisters, mom, father
and others to run in other ridings in GTa or other parts of Canada. We need
to show our strength and build ourselves for the next election. We may win
a seat here and there, or we may win a considerable number of seats this
time as most people have read the nefarious mind of Justin Trudeau.*
You may print the name tab with your name (enclosed) and put it in a
plastic tab available at Dollar Stores during the signature campaign.
* And pls do ask before starting to sign as we don't want 2 candidates
signing up forms in the same riding. If you have already started let us
know your ridings please. Our Leader's Tour Bus will be arriving from
Quebec in GTA before the close of nominations. In Oakville, our candidate is
already half way done with signatures.*
For those who have given up, I encourage you to give the 6 days of your
lives to us so that we become your strong voice and introduce Direct
democracy, by the Canadians and for the Canadians in Canada. IT IS DOABLE.
Just give us numbers.
Finally *we need money and support *because elections in Canada have to be
fought with donations, and cannot be fought with 'rich' money. The funds
have to flow through the party's account. That is the law. I am
surprised that none of our supporters have donated us anything to date. If
you want change you have to give money for our political movement
to dislodge the disloyal incumbents. I have seen many of our immigrants
trying to show off by donating lavishly to Liberals and Conservatives to
the full extent of $1650 per individual but they hesitate to donate to us.
For those of you in affluent jobs and businesses, please donate a few
thousand dollars each. And for those who cannot afford, give at least
$100-200 each so that you feel that you contributed despite all hardships.
It will enable you as an activist. Our Tour bus alone will cost
$15,000-20,000 for the GTA tour. And we have social media costs, website
costs and so on.
Just remember all donations have to be from individuals and they will be
issued tax receipts by the party to get FULL benefit on their taxes.
Corporations and businesses CANNOT donate.
*Please send donations by E transfer to:CFFdirectdemocracy@gmail.co
<CFFdirectdemocracy@gmail.com> or CanadaFourthFront@gmail.com
<CanadaFourthFront@gmail.com>P
Party $----- Put your name, email, address and phone number.*
In the end I thank you all. And I do see a ray of hope. At least we all can
be a large big family as a party to help our fellow Canadians in need.
Sincerely,
Partap Dua
Leader
CFF-Canada's Fourth Front
OUR MAIN THEME IN tHIS ELECTION IS "ZERO DOWN HOUSE FOR EVERY CANADIAN IN
NEED OF A HOME"
We have the ability to provide everyone a small, fully owned house to live
comfortably with dignity. It is NOT a social housing concept but equity
ownership of a home by young people and many fragile seniors, who we want
to remove from common central air retirement homes to safeguard against
virus spread..Our federal and provincial Governments slaughtered parents
and grandparents of Canadians with impunity.

RE: WITHOUT PREJUDICE FAIR WARNING
Mr. Amos:
Next time you contact one of our candidates in any way, by telephone,
email, social media or using any known form of communication to further
libel me you will spend the rest of your life penniless and homeless.
Already have one affidavit signed and ready to file, a second one will
cost you $1 million or more in legal fees over the next decade.
Get a very good lawyer to research the new legal proceeding allowing
anyone to sue another for simply "placing someone in a false light".
That issue alone at trial over the next decade will fix you just fine,
and there are the costs of defending against restraining orders,
criminal complaints and al, the rest that goes with teaching someone
well deserving it a lesson that they will pay for every day of the rest
of their lives.
Do a Canlii and other legal research, and make sure you can find several
$million to defend yourself, it cost CTV, CBC and Global Television $3
million to fuck with me, and it cost Carolyn Parrish several hundred
thousand, the seat in Ward 5 in Mississauga, and any chance in her
future to run for any political office beyond councillor or dog catcher.
And when you cannot pay the court costs I will file a motion for you to
be put in jail.
You are going to enjoy living in hotel rooms near court houses for the
next 10 years at minimum.

— Brian Crombie, None of the Above Party Candidate, Mississauga-South riding
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA, April 25, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ --
Ontario's None of the Above Direct Democracy Party (NOTA Party)
announced long time Mississauga resident Brian Crombie has been
acclaimed as the candidate in Mississauga-South riding in the June 2,
2022 Ontario General Election.
Andrew Weber, the chef at Roc'n Doc's Live Music Grill in Port Credit,
withdrew from the Mississauga-Lakeshore nomination to run in
Mississauga-East riding.
Brian Crombie has an MBA from Harvard Business School 1988, an HBA
from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario
1982, and is completing a DBA from ISM Paris 2022. Brian graduated a
Baker Scholar with High Distinction from Harvard and Dean’s List from
Western.
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of a real estate
development company. Previously Brian has been Acting CFO for a Sports
team, and part time CFO for a development stage pharmaceutical company
and an entertainment company where he also provided strategic,
business development and financial advisory services.
He has been operating Crombie Capital Partners for the past ten years
providing strategic, financial, M&A and advisory services for these
clients and several others in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics,
alternative energy, sports and entertainment, private education and
other industries in Canada, the United States and Ukraine. Brian has
worked for firms, Venture Capitalists, Law Firms and Private Equity
Investors.
Brian Crombie has 30 years of corporate experience, a depth of
knowledge in all facets of finance, strategic planning and corporate /
business development for a wide breadth of companies in several
industries. Brian has deep political, community and charitable
involvement as well.
Crombie is the Chair of Transit Alliance, Past President of the
Mississauga Arts Council and was Co-chair of the Western GTA Summit
2013, Co-chair of the Mississauga Summit, a community organization
working for a brave bold future for Mississauga 2007-14. Brian
received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for his civic involvement.
Brian has written and published several academic papers and other
articles and videos. He is the former husband of Mississauga Mayor
Bonnie Crombie.
"While recently interviewing NOTA Party Leader Greg Vezina on my Brian
Crombie Show on SAUGA 960 AM with initial skepticism about the
shortcomings of and potential remedies for our democracy I concluded
he was correct and it was time to stand up for real change".
Growing from 8 candidates in 7% of ridings in the 2014 to 42
candidates in 34% in the 2018 Ontario Election, the NOTA Party is
already ahead with 70 candidates, on the way to nominating candidates
in all 124 ridings in the June 2, 2022 Election.
The NOTA Party of Ontario campaigns for the 3Rs of Direct Democracy –
Referendum, Recall and Reforms to electoral, legislative, transparency
and accountability laws and practices, to give voters control of
politicians and parties during and in between elections. Candidates
are accountable to their constituents and there are no central party
policies or controls of elected MPPs beyond the binding Direct
Democracy principles.
In British Columbia's 1991 recall and initiative referendum voters
approved both the referendum and recall laws by over 80%. In 1995 then
Ontario Progressive Conservative Party leader Mike Harris promised to
pass municipal and provincial referendum laws if elected, but he
didn't introduce the draft legislation approved at Committee in 1998.
On June 17, 2021 Alberta passed a recall law as well.
Switzerland is a rare example of a country with instruments of direct
democracy (at the levels of the municipalities, cantons, and federal
state). Citizens there have more power than in any representative
democracy.
Any Canadian citizen who is a resident in Ontario for at least six
months before and 18 years of age or older on Election Day (not
otherwise prohibited), may become a candidate in an election by
completing and filing the Candidate Nomination Paper (F0400)
containing a minimum of 25 signatures from eligible electors in the
electoral district in which they are running. They do not have to be a
resident in that riding and there is no fee to become a candidate.
Some of the well known NOTA Party candidates nominated for the June 2
, 2022 election are: Hydrofuel Canada CEO Greg Vezina (Mississauga
Centre); Brian Crombie (Mississauga-Lakeshore); Canada's first
Veterans Ombudsman Col. Pat Stogran Rtd. (Orléans); Stage Manager and
G-20 Civil Rights Advocate Adam Nobody (Spadina-Fort York); Author and
Creator of TIME-EQUITY Richard Kiernicki (Etobicoke Centre;, Workers
Rights Advocate Paul Taylor (Guelph); Aerospace Engineer Kevin
Linfield (Essex); and Artist and Broadcasting Technician Marc Adornato
(Ottawa-Centre).

Greg Vezina
Mississauga—Streetsville MP Candidate & Party Leader
Greg Vezina (Gregory Hugh) was born on January 13, 1957 in North Bay
Ontario Canada. He is the son of Lyall and Ellen and the twin brother
of Cathy. He has four brothers and four sisters. His oldest brother,
Christopher Lyall Jon Vezina is a world renowned sculptor.
At the age of 14 he left school to travel North America in the
amusement business. At 20 he went to work for Garrison and Company in
the radio advertising business. Two years later he started his own
radio advertising sales business, Western Radio Broadcasting
Promotions with his wife, Kathleen Marie Kirkland Vezina, the sixth
child of Jack and Mary Kirkland, of Unity Saskatchewan.
In 1980 Greg, Kathy and family started C.A.E.C.-Canadian Alternative
Energy Corp. and developed a conversion system for vehicles to run on
ammonia (NH3) which they branded as “Hydrofuel”. In 1984 they received
the Canadian Trademark. They had travelled to California and the
Arizona desert and envisioned the first truly green energy currency.
Sunlight, water and air to make ammonia for automotive fuel, and
electrical power generation and storage. In Canada they proposed using
hydroelectric power as well as solar, wind and tidal power, but the
prepared a complete business plan for 1000 megawatt 300 metric ton per
day electrolytic ammonia plant powered by nuclear energy in 1983.
A lifelong Conservative who had been involved in politics since his
early teens, in 1982 Greg worked with Peter Pocklington on his Federal
Progressive Conservative Leadership attempt and he was elected a
delegate and engineered the election of many other. Mr. Pocklington
had endorsed such policies as an end of government subsidies to
hydrocarbon energy, a flat tax system and green economic practices.
After he was unsuccessful in approaching the new leader of the Party
he resigned from the party.
Greg got involved with the Green Party and became a founding Candidate
of the Green Party of Canada in 1983; Greg was called upon by the
Green Party Leader Dr. Trevor Hancock to prevent candidate nomination
takeovers in the Ottawa ridings by Engineer and professional gambler
John Turmel. Greg was nominated as the Green Party of Canada Candidate
for Nepean Carlton in the 1983 Federal Election and as the Provincial
Candidate in Ottawa Centre in the 1994 by-election. He was a
Registered Agent became Chief Agent of the Green Party of Canada in
the mid 1980’s. As Chief Agent he worked with other Alternative
Parties, formed an association and worked to change Canada’s many
unconstitutional election laws and unfair subsidies. By the late 1990s
every electoral law challenge he worked on was defeated or changed
except election broadcasting.
When many Canadians were arrested for protesting logging at Clayoquot
Sound he devised a way for people to contribute to the Green Party of
Canada and get tax credits for political contributions (where income
was sufficient) to help pay the hundreds of thousands of fines levied
by the Courts. A Long battle with Elections Canada ensued where the
regulators tried to control the use of the Green Party’s funds.
Without the support of the three Parties (P.C., Liberal and NDP) in
the House of Commonshe and the Green Party fought off all attempts.
In the mid 1980’s he won several Canadian Radio, Television and
Communications Commission (CRTC) decisions against broadcasters for
not providing equitable coverage to the Green Party during elections
(CRTC 1987-337, 1988-142, 1995-44). In December 1985 the Conservative
candidate, then Ottawa city councillor Graham Bird and Liberal
candidate and Ottawa radio personality Lowell Green walked off a live
television debate on CTV affilate CJOH TV in Ottawa because the
station refused to let Greg and two other candidates participate.
Following the 1988 federal election, after a decision of the Attorney
General of Canada to stay a prosecution under the Broadcasting Act
initiated by the CRTC against several Canadian Television networks, at
the instance of the CRTC, a private prosecution was instituted on
behalf of the Green Party of Canada by former Chief Agentand Treasurer
Greg Vezina against CBC, CTV and Global, claiming that these
broadcasters had breached the Television Broadcasting Regulations
1987, because they had not included the Green Party and other
accredited and registered small political party Leaders in the
Leaders’ debates during a federal general election and had failed to
provide equitable time to them.
In R.v. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation et al., [1993] 51
C.P.R.(3d), the Ontario Court of Appeal held that debates were not of
a partisan political character. The Court believed that while the
participants in a debate may very well be partisan, the program
itself, because it presented more than one view, was not. The Court
therefore ruled that debates were not covered by the relevant section
of the regulations and notwithstanding provisions of under the Canada
Elections Act limiting, restricting and in many cases prohibiting
contributions of political advertising and broadcasting, declared both
Acts to be ‘a complete code’ and therefore there was no requirement to
provide any time at all for parties or candidates excluded from
debates during election campaigns no matter how many candidates or
parties were excluded so long as two or more were included in such
programs. (Broadcasters and other media used the same reasoning to
exclude commentators and representatives from smaller parties in news
and public affairs panels and programs both during and in between
elections in Canada). The case was appealed to the Supreme Court of
Canada which refused to grant leave to appeal (without reasons as is
the custom) in decision 23881 by Justices La Forest, Sopinka and Major
JJ, released on May 6, 1994.

(Judgements of the Supreme Court of Canada, Bulletin of May 6, 1994)
Subsequently, the CRTC issued Public Notice CRTC 1995-44,
Election-period broadcasting: Debates, which stated, In view of this
judgment, the Commission will no longer require that so-called
“debates” programs feature all rival parties or candidates in one or
more programs. http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/arch
During the Trial and Appeals he approached Moses Znaimer and Denise
Donlon of City TV and Much Music and in the 1993 election he
co-produced the award winning TV programs Talk me to your Leader and
Vote with a vengeance. In both the 1993 and the 2000 elections, Greg
Vezina working as an independent producer and the Green Party of
Canada and the Natural Law Party of Canada organized All Party Leaders
Debates which invited the leaders of all registered and accredited
parties to participate. On both occasions the leaders of the major
parties declined, but the leaders of the other smaller political
parties participated. While all other members of the Election
Broadcasting Consortium (CBC and CTV National Networks, Global
Television, and the Quebec broadcaster) failed to broadcast the 1993
program after announcing they would, in both the 1993 and 2000 the one
hour debates were carried on CBC Newsworld and the debates and another
hour of town hall questions and answers afterword on CPAC (English:
Cable Public Affairs Channel and in French: La Chaîne d’affaires
publiques par câble). The 2000 Debate was also covered extensively on
CP-24 and it was the first of its kind broadcast and archived on the
Internet on the Democracy Channel® website http://democracychannel.net
and YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
In 2000 he applied for Canadian and US Trademarks for Democracy
Channel® and in 2003 he obtained the United States Trade Mark
Registration Number 2756761 and subsequently obtained the Canadian
Trade Mark Registration Number TMA787729 as well.
In 1985 Greg ran as the Green Party of Ontario in the 1985 Ontario
provincial election in Ottawa West and he left the Green Party to run
as the Progressive Conservative (P.C.) Candidate in the 1987 Ontario
provincial election in Ottawa Centre. In the 1990 Ontario provincial
election he ran as the P.C. Candidate in Scarborough Ellesmere. Along
time supporter of Mike Harris who he knew from his home town, in 1989
Greg worked to change the Party Constitution from a delegated
convention to a one person one vote process. This change was key to
Mike Harris winning the Leadership in 1990. After the election Greg
won a party campaign award for election signs and material. His were
traditional Party blue with a new twist, neon Green.
A tireless fighter for Political reform and citizen referendum he
supported these policies in the 1995 Ontario Election but did not run
as a candidate and after Premier Harris formed a majority government
when it became apparent the new government would not introduce
referendum legislation or green policies he left the party. Ten
Ontario Provincial and Municipal Referendum laws approved at Committee
were never introduced by Premier Harris.
Vezina was successful in writing one important Legislative change. In
2000 Premier Harris made contributions for political tax credits
refundable for the poor. Previously only upper and middle income
citizens got up to 75% refunds. This change did not help the Premiers
P.C. Party whose members generally had taxable income and got the tax
credits before.
In 1993 the Federal Progressive-Conservative, Liberal and New
Democratic parties rigged the Canadian election laws and tried to have
the Green Party of Canada de-registered and have its assets seized.
Greg and Kathy lent the Party $25,000.00 for Candidate election
campaign deposits in order to maintain the legal registry of the Green
Party of Canada. They waited over ten years to get repaid.
Also in 1993, with financial support of Frank Stronach and Magna
International he co-wrote the book Democracy, Eh? A guide to Voter
Action, with John Deverell, a Toronto Star reporter.

In 1993 Greg and Kathy also started Online Direct, Vote Direct and
Internet polling and election programs with the same TV networks they
had previously fought. He simulcast political debates and election
programs and created the world’s largest internet poll with CTV
affiliate Baton Broadcasting for the 1995 Quebec Referendum.
In 1997 Online Direct Foiled Canada’s Election Poll Ban, when they
found a way around an Elections Canada warning prohibiting the
publishing of any polling results, by removing their Online Election
polls from their website in Canada and publishing them on the Internet
from Florida, U.S. based server, through election day, as reported by
Wired Magazine in “Web Sites Foil Canada’s Election Poll Ban.”
https://www.wired.com/1997/06/
In 2000 they created the Knowledge Compass learning tool and search
engine with (the late) Fred Weibe who had developed the “HYWY 101©”
Knowledge Map between 1981 and 1999, and they started HYWY Corp. and
HYWY Software Corp. which developed the HYWY PE:J Productivity
Environment for JAVA, platform and vendor independent software for
JAVA applications and licenced it to SUN Microsystems, Rational
Software and IBM.
In 2002 he helped to convince the present Ontario Provincial Liberal
Premier Dalton McGuinty to make and keep an election promise for a
Provincial Referendum on electoral reform and proportional
representation. The provincial referendum was scheduled for October of
2007. On October 10th. 2007 the referendum was held concurrent with
the Ontario General Election. The measure did not pass.

versions of the “HYWY 101©” Knowledge Map and several new digital
search tools on the internet at http://vez.com or http://hywy101.com
During the 2014 Ontario General Election Greg founded and became
leader of the None of the Above Party of Ontario and ran as one of the
eight founding candidates. Greg ran again in the Feb. 2016
Whitby-Oshawa by-election. Details on the NOTA Party are on their
http://nota.ca website.
In 2018 the NOTA Party had candidates nominated in 42 of the 124
ridings for the General Election. By early March of 2022 the NOTA
Party had already nominated candidates in almost half of the 124
ridings for the June 2, 2022 Ontario Provincial election, with efforts
underway to nominate candidates in every riding.
In October of 2016, Greg was listed in the Journal of Cleaner
Production as a Co-Author of “Comparative Life Cycle Assessment of
Various Ammonia Production Methods.” In May of 2017 he was listed in
Environmental Management as Co-Author of “Impact Assessment and
Environmental Evaluation of Various Ammonia Production Processes. This
and several other research papers with the Ontario Tech University
(OTU), also know as the University of Ontario Institute of Technology
(UOIT), have been published in peer reviewed journals and the AIChE
journal from the 2017 convention.
By 2022 Greg’s company Hydrofuel Inc. had completed six research
projects with OTU. Summaries are on the Mitcas website at

Kathy and Greg are also developing new Learning, “alternative health”
and well-being modalities. They continue to push the envelope and show
how enlightened self interest can be used for the common good.
Greg and Kathy will release new book “Ammonia Energy Solution”, which
will be published and released in written and electronic formats in
2022. The electronic version will be available free on the Internet.
Both Hardcover and Paperback versions of the book will be available
with customized author signatures and notes.
Greg and Kathy have two “Amazing” children.

‘Lawton was kind of taking direction’: Conservative candidate’s Freedom Convoy ties detailed in report
Published:
A new report shows Conservative candidate Andrew Lawton was in a group chat with Freedom Convoy leaders. CTV London's Bryan Bicknell reports.
A Conservative candidate in the London region is coming under fire.
This follows a media report which details Andrew Lawton’s former ties with the Freedom Convoy, which occupied downtown Ottawa in 2022.
Lawton is running for the seat in the new riding of Elgin-St. Thomas-London South. The published report shows Lawton was an active member in a group chat involving many high profile convoy members.
Published Friday in Press Progress, the story reveals Lawton was a member of what’s described as a clandestine group chat used to coordinate messaging on social media.
As reported, the group chat on Signal, an encrypted messaging app, is called Canada Freedom Rights Movement. It includes more than 50 names associated with the Freedom Convoy and the Canadian Far Right.

“What I think is interesting and new here is it shows a certain level of connection between Andrew Lawton and the leadership of the Freedom Convoy,” said Press Progress editor Luke LeBrun, who penned the article.
LeBrun said Lawton was actively involved.
“Andrew Lawton was kind of taking direction from some of the convoy lawyers. And based on some of the messaging that they gave him and some of the suggestions that they gave him, that material ended up online, which is very interesting. It’s also problematic I would say because if you look at some of the other members of this group, you have people who are, in some cases self-identified white nationalists, people who have made very antisemitic comments, another person who was sharing neo-Nazi propaganda videos,” LeBrun explained.
A right-wing alt-media personality, and the former managing editor of digital media platform True North, Lawton is no stranger to controversy.
In 2018, he ran unsuccessfully under Doug Ford’s PC banner in the provincial riding of London West. The campaign was derailed when his history of extreme positions on issues like abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, and Islamophobia came to light. He later attributed the behaviour to his struggles with mental illness.
Lawton won the Conservative nod for Elgin-St. Thomas-London South last November, in what some in the party’s electoral district association complained was a hurried nomination process.
Earlier in 2024, Lawton’s biography of Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was published.

One of Lawton’s political opponent’s, Elgin-St. Thomas-London South Liberal Candidate David Goodwin, said he’s disappointed in Lawton.
“It shows a clear lack of judgement and character on behalf of Andrew Lawton. Once again, he has put his ideology above community. And this is really one of the fundamental reasons why I ran in this again. And I clearly, once again, don’t believe that Andrew Lawton represents the values of my riding,” said Goodwin.
Lawton declined our request for an interview. A campaign spokesperson issued the following statement:
“As a journalist, Mr. Lawton regularly communicated with a variety of sources for his reporting on the Public Order Emergency Commission. He authored the only journalistic account of the Freedom Convoy, which was cited in evidence by the Commission itself as a factual account of the protests. He left the group after the commission hearings ended."
