These awards and certificates are awarded to individuals and groups who merit recognition for their contributions to community safety and crime prevention. Each year, an Awards Luncheon is held to induct nominees for the different award categories. This year, four members of the RCMP Richibucto Detachment were recognized. CPO Jean Francois Leblanc, Cpl. Ricky LeBlond and Cst. Erika Norris received the Province of New Brunswick Certificate of Recognition. This certificate is presented to individuals, organizations or businesses who have made an outstanding contribution to the development, implementation, promotion and enhancement of crime prevention and safe communities. The fourth member of the RCMP Richibucto Detachment to be recognized was Sgt. Maxime Babineau. He was awarded the Constable Leo ‘’Tyler’’ Francis Award. The CPANB established this award in memory of the late Constable Tyler Francis, an RCMP officer who demonstrated a high standard of dedication toward crime prevention. The award is presented to police officers or peace officers who have demonstrated significant personal and professional commitment to crime prevention initiatives in their community for at least five years. The Kent Regional Service Commission is proud of the dedication and achievements of the RCMP officers of the Richibucto Detachment. The Kent Regional Service Commission has been serving the public since 2013. The organization has two mandates: local planning and solid waste management, as well as several responsibilities for regional collaboration. Regional cooperation in policing is one of these additional responsibilities. Visit www.krsc.ca. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: David Amos <david.raymond.amos333@gmail. It is hard to think of someone more deserving than Barbara Whitenect. Barb obtained her Bachelor of Social Work at St. Thomas University in 1991 and followed that by obtaining her Masters of Social Work from Carleton University in 1992. Barb has been a member in good standing with the NBASW since 1992. She has been actively involved with the provincial NBASW since 2007first as vice-president. Barb is currently the President of the NBASW and represents the NBASW on the national and international front with her active involvement with CASW, CCSWR and ASWB. She has been a key player in leading NBASW to adopt its first Scope of Practice. Barb identifies herself as a social worker at every opportunity. She has provided social work education to social work students – both by teaching at St. Thomas University and by supporting field placement opportunities for students within her workplace. Barb is currently employed in a Director`s Position for the Department of Health, attached to the Central Office Mental Health Services for New Brunswick. By her many skills and knowledge, Barb is often solicited by her peers to be involved with and take on various projects around the province and even on a National level. She is a great leader for our membership and staff of NBASW, her ongoing involvement has brought our Association to a higher level of both administrative issues and constructive political working relationships. Barb represents social work proudly and is dedicated to the advancement of the profession and she is an inspiration to many of us. It is for this reason that she is the ideal candidate for the 2013 CASW Distinguished Service Award. Of Government Agents and Operatives
Politicians, political operatives, agents of the government have never
appreciated my sharing of behind the scenes conversations and
information. Politicians and agents of government do not appreciate
truth being exposed.
In my conversations, interactions and disconnect with Jason Lavigne,
Donald Best, Marco Van Hugenbos and David Parker, in sharing
information, agendas, connections and quotes, I’m accused of
slandering others. I always found that telling. It showed me that I
couldn’t be more over the target.
Everything I’ve spoken and written about, regarding politicians,
governments, and their political operatives, is supported by evidence.
I’m waiting for any of them to challenge me on the evidence of their
responsibility in this. Of their bringing a genocidal treasonous World
Economic Forum and World Health
At all times, but even more so in times of genocide and treason,
always and forever defend truth, freedom and justice. Defend the
innocent also.
I don’t gauge the nature of a man - his morality and character - by
how much money he earns, by his title and definitely not by his empty
words. No, when I witness men abusing women and men, especially those
already being abused, that says everything I need to know about a man.
Only unGodly, immorally and unkind men would conduct themselves in
that regard.
There continue to be men in prison from the Alberta Coutts Freedom
Convoy; Jerry Morin, Tony Olienick, Chris Lysak and Chris Carbert.
These men are known as the ‘Coutts Four.’ As of today, November held
in Remand Centres for 645 days as of today. Remand is meant for
holding an accused on average of 17 hours.
For months Jerry’s wife Jaclyne, Tony’s lifelong friends Danielle and
Nikki and the Coutts Four’s greatest ally and advocate, Margaret have
been targeted, harassed, intimidated, accused, slandered and lied
about by unGodly men.
Those who are doing that have manipulated the Coutts Four and their
families to the point two of the men have reached a breaking point.
When I see these men and their families pitted against one another
through lies, deception, and manipulation, in times of genocide and
betrayal of a Nation, evil no longer surprise me. And that is what
this is, evil all around.
Rather than address the genocidal treasonous WEF and WHO betrayal, the
job of political agents is to deflect attention away from that, do
other dirty deeds such as undermine, manipulate, incite and divide men
and women living in hell on earth.
Four Men, Political Prisoners whose circumstances are at the very
heart of the betrayal of Canada and Alberta.
Unity? Unity behind what? Men and women who betray all of us?
No thank you.
******
Here’s how I see it.
November 16, 2023; Mr Brian Peckford, First Minister and last living
signatory of Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, stated; “The
legal system (I dare not say the Justice System), has abandoned the
plain meaning of the words of the constitution - the Justice
Departments of the Governments, the Law Societies of the Provinces,
The Law Faculties of the Universities and the Judiciary!”
Mr Peckford himself, cannot gain access to speak before Canadian
courts, to argue his position, of the breach of the Charter of Rights
and Freedoms by Canadian and Provincial governments in their
enforcement of Covid-19 lockdowns and vaccine orders.
A breach of the fundamental rights and freedoms of Canadians was
exactly the reason Canadians came together in large numbers in Coutts
and in Ottawa. Opposing lockdowns, loss of their freedom; of assembly,
of worship, of speech, freedom to run their business, to travel, to
have informed consent of the covid vaccines being forced upon them, to
visit dying loved ones, not to muzzle their children or violate their
children’s body with a viciously unnecessary swab.
It’s well documented, covid policies had devastating effects on the
freedoms and lives of Canadians, on their children, on their elderly
parents and grandparents, on families, communities and businesses, so
much destruction and death. Life ending outcomes, of men, women and
children. The very reason any of us were in Coutts or Ottawa.
Including the Couts Four.
Of course passions ran high, in the heat of the moment, in the urgency
of the day, people being let go from their jobs, people dying, there
was no hope in sight, and so blue collar Canadians took action. Is it
surprising that passions ran high?
Canadians were literally in a fight for their lives!
That brings me to the point, regarding the government’s own
investigation - of itself. As this relates to the Coutts Four, the
report coming out of the Emergency Act Enquiry, which stated that the,
“Coutts protest was a central event in warranting the Emergencies
Act.”
“Among those arrested, four men, Christopher Lysak, Chris Carbert,
Anthony Olienick and Jerry Morin, were charged with conspiring to
murder RCMP.
Wait for it… “Some of those arrested are linked to white supremacist groups.”
Tony is of Filipino ancestry. Being of Native Indian ancestry, I get
it when Tony laughs at being accused of being a white supremacist.
It’s laughable, but concerning also, of the picture the government
painted.
Think and remember. Listen to what I’m about to tell you and make your
own connections here
The Trudeau government released a detailed document justifying their
reasons for declaring the emergency measures act, which is required
under the law.
In it, the government said the protests “have become a rallying point
for anti-government, anti-authority, anti-vaccination, conspiracy
theory and white supremacist groups throughout Canada and other
Western countries.”
Keep that thought in your mind throughout the remainder of my presentation.
Keep something else in mind. To pull off a coup of injustice, to keep
this circus in play, many government agents are needed.
You may think some are your friends - as they stab you in the back.
******
Who in the heck is advising our Governments?
I’d like to bring your attention to, “Dr. Barbara Perry, Professor,
Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Ontario Tech University; and
Director of the Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism at Ontario Tech.”
“Long recognized as a global authority on hate crime and right-wing
extremism in Canada, Dr. Barbara Perry, a Professor with Ontario
Tech’s Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH), has been
appointed UNESCO’s Research Chair in Hate Studies.
The UNESCO Research Chair will develop evidence-based policy to
minimize the incidence and impacts of hate crime and targeted hate
speech, both online and offline.”
Dr Barbarra Perry is a United Nations appointee, an NGOs, a non
governmental organization, an unelected foreign body that creates
policies to be brought into Nations like Canada. For many decades now,
those foreign policies have been voluntarily brought into Canadian law
by both Conservative and Liberal governments.
Rather than flowing through Provincial Legislatures and through the
Federal House of Commons, where laws in a free and democratic society
are normally first discussed, debated, transparently, with oversight
and understanding of Canadians. That process is circumvented far too
often, for decades.
Be it the World Economic Forum’s climate change agenda, the World
Health Organization’s International Health Regulations, Covid-19
“guidelines and determinations,” or UNESCO’s advice on far right
extremism, conspiracy theories, the policies and advice of those NGOs
is voluntarily adopted and utilized by Liberal, Conservative and NDP
Governments and oppositions.
Of global NGOs such as the United Nations, IPCC, UNESCO, WHO or the
WEF, Canadians are unable to hold those organizations accountable,
given opportunity of input or afforded conversations on such things as
climate change, the taxing of carbon, forced vaccinations, or the
enacting of an Emergency Measures Act.
The Coutts Four have been held for 640 days, accused of conspiracy to
commit murder of RCMP, innocent until proven guilty does not apply?
When then is the Canadian and Provincial Governments going to
investigate, those who have actually committed criminal acts, of
genocide, when are the polititians going to be brought before a court,
to stand trial for their actual crimes and held accountable?!
To be held accountable for the treasonous act of betrayal, in the
handing over of Canada’s sovereignty to unelected entities of the
World Economic Forum and World Health Organization? The evidence is
conclusive, of governments betraying the people all across Canada.
As four men are held without mercy, closing in on two years, for their
words, not their actions.
And so I say to you, when it comes to unity, when it comes to tangible
solutions for free those being held in prison with no fair and due
process of innocence, as people are murdered by vaccines, as unelected
the dictates of foreign entities restructure our Western Democracy, it
absolutely matters what company we keep. Our freedom depends on it.
There are some who speak of flowery words, while that betrayal of
genocide and treason plays out in front of our very eyes. Justice will
never come, as long as those who embrace the restructuring of Canada
are allowed to deceive and torment those who are advocating for the
Coutts Four.
To defend those being abused by the heavy hands of government, to
defend the sovereignty of Albertans and Canadians, as we are living in
a time of deception and betrayal, let us speak plainly.
The side I chose, is standing with all Albertans and Canadians, with
all of humanity.
******
I say again; I stand with all Albertans and Canadians,
I stand for truth, freedom and justice,
I stand with God.
The following is an urgent warning for all parties involved in the
Coutts Four, for the men and families.
In my opinion and observations, a mission to divide Alberta’s
Political Prisoners, the Coutts Four; Jerry Morin, Tony Olienick,
Chris Lysak and Chris Carbert has been accomplished.
This in my opinion was done via infiltration into the core group of
most trusted allies and advocates, that being Jerry’s spouse Jaclyne,
Tony’s lifelong friends Danielle and Nikki, as well as trusted
advocate Margaret Mackay.
Jaclyne, Jerry’s wife, has had to cautiously and carefully navigate
through this manipulation, infiltration and subversion as she is also
facing Federal charges from the Coutts Freedom Convoy.
It is my observation regarding certain bail restrictions, in Marco Van
Hugenbos also being up on Federal charges of Mischief, in being
accused as one of three leaders of Coutts Convoy, Van Hugenbos has no
limitations in his ability to communicate with all four Coutts
Political Prisoners or anyone arrested in Coutts. Note here, that from
the beginning, Jerry Morin did not wish to communicate with Van
Hugenbos.
As a leader of Coutts, Marco Van Hugenbos was meeting with United
Conservative Government MLAs and Federal MPs
Note also that Marco Van Hugenbos held the Chief Financial Officers'
position of Take Back Alberta, an organization beholden to the United
Conservative Party, led by lifelong political operative of Stephan
Harper, David John Parker. Parker was recruited by the Conservative
Party of Canada at the age of 23 and has worked almost extensively for
Stephan Harper.
Parker was recently on the Board of Directors of Ditchley Foundation,
a global networking NGO (Non Governmental Organization) that promotes
and endorses the World Economic Forum global agenda, has a Trilateral
Commision Member on the Board, whose Chief of Staff is a WEF Global
leader and WEF agenda writer.
Parker played a key role in the election of Danielle Smith, in the
Alberta UCP Government maintaining power. Van Hugenbos campaigned for
Danielle Smith in Oct 2022 Brooks Medicine Hat byelection, the United
Conservative Party and UCP MLAs in the 2023 Provincial election.
Regarding how the World Economic Forum agenda came to Canada and
Alberta, in the acknowledgment that the Alberta UCP Government is
involved with WEF, Van Huigenbos is quoted as saying, “The whole world
is going this way, we have no other option but to go along with it.”
(Quote made in presence of witnesses).
Take Back Alberta was also involved in Coutts protest, in their
mission to oust the Premier of Alberta, that being Jason Kenney.
******
Individuals by the names of Jason Lavigne and Donald Best together
have been harassing and intimidating Margaret, Jaclyne, Danielle and
Nikki for many months. The report Best just released is fraudulent and
baseless in nature.
A witch hunt
Lavigne is a lifetime contractor of Canadian and Provincial
Governments at all levels. Best is a retired Toronto cop and self
described investigator.
Lavigne first befriended Margaret, Jaclyne, Danielle and Nikki, the
core group of Alberta’s Political Prisoners, claiming to be a lawyer
and independent journalist, they trusted Lavigne and opened up to him.
At one point I was asked to weigh in on the situation, making a public
statement on behalf of Jerry, Tony, Jaclyne, Danielle, Nikki and
Margaret’s behalf, that they had severed ties with Lavigne.
Shortly after gaining their trust, after several private, confidential
discussions, Lavigne began sharing sensitive case details via his
podcasts and also misrepresenting fundraising details.
Examples being;
During a podcast with Lavigne, I challenged Lavigne in the moment, of
his misrepresentation of fundraising details. That the men had raised
$1 million and that they were fine.
Lavigne had already been asked to cease and desist in that conduct.
At one point Lavigne created a major scene in the courtroom with Ezra Levant,
Margaret attempted to distance herself from Lavigne via email
communication, Lavigne has been relentless in his aggressive conduct
towards Margaret.
Jaclyne, Danielle and Nikki, Jerry and Tony also severed ties.
Chris Lysak severed ties at that point also.
When Lavigne became aggressive with me, “You can come on my show as
long as you don’t slander anyone!” To which I replied; everything I
say, everything I write, is backed up by evidence;
Lavigne then became aggressive again; and what about this Margaret
character; where did she come from? To which I replied; back the hell
off;
Best also accused me of the same; of labeling others as Feds, agents
of the government, “that maybe I should be more gentle with them”
To which I replied; I’ll never hold back, nor apologize for holding
politicians and political operatives accountable. Genocide and treason
are playing out.
And here they are again; a self-described investigator and independent
journalist willfully ignore investigating and reporting how and who is
responsible for the genocide and treason on the WEF and WHO.
Instead, they target a grandmother, wife and lifetime best friends of
the Coutts Four, focus their time and energy inciting and dividing the
Coutts Four.
The end result was that the fundraising momentum was effectively
killed, division created.
Gee, I wonder what’s going on here?

Jeremy Mackenzie, Canadian Military Veteran and Diagonal founder, at
one time publicly condemned the Alberta Political Prisoners as being
guilty. Mackenzie was held in a Saskatoon prison, on restricted
firearm and assault charges.
August 31, 2023, Mackenzie’s charges were stayed, dropped;
“Saskatchewan based weapons and assault charges against the leader of
the controversial Diagolon movement have been stayed.”
Mackenzie also faces charges in Nova Scotia, for careless use of a
firearm, as well as 12 firearm-related charges from Jan. 26, 2022. Is
currently released on Peace Bonds.
In November, 2022, Mackenzie testified in Canadian Government’s
Emergency Measures Act Enquiry, multiple times throughout testimony,
being led by cross examining attorney Mackenzie testified Chris Lysak
to be affiliated with Diagnolon, that evidence in Coutts was
unofficially affiliated with Diagnolon and tied to Chris Lysak.
“When MacKenzie agreed to the peace bond, he didn’t admit to any
criminal actions or plead guilty. However, he is required to follow
specific rules for the next year. These include “keeping the peace and
being of good behavior” (meaning he must not face any criminal
charges) and “not possessing weapons.” Breaking a peace bond is
considered a separate criminal offence.”
Jeremy Mackenzie recently weighed in on the Alberta Political
Prisoners crisis, aligned with Chris Lysak, began to aggressively act
out against the core group of Alberta Political Prisoners, then
proceeded, through the Diagnolon community, to effectively raise $200k
for Chris Lysak’s defense fund.
******
Lavigne, Best, Van Hugenbos and Mackenzie are affiliated in
conversation and in the continued needling of Jaclyne and Margaret.
******
Update on the divide of the Coutts Four.
Chris Lysak is being advocated and fundraised on behalf of Mackenzie.
There have been accusations made by Chris Lysak that Jaclyne harassed
his father.
Jaclyne denies that accusation, that she harassed Chris’s dad; listen
to Chris’ word’s “I don’t know what Jaclyne said to my Dad.
Jaclyne knows that others were harassing Chris’ father, individuals
connected with Mackenzie’s organization - Dignolon.
Chris Carbert is now being advocated on behalf of, as well as
fundraising efforts being led by Marco Van Hugenbos.
Jaclyne continues to focus on Jerry, speaks to being harassed by those
that are working against the best interests of her husband and the
other men.
Jaclyne has been very firm in maintaining her boundaries, and is well
documented.
Jaclyne passionately cares about and is concerned for Chris and Chris.
Jaclyne has asked three individuals to cease and desist raising money
on Jerry’s behalf, that being Marco Van HugenBos, Kaylene Crashley and
Loid Putzi.
Danielle and Nikki are both continuing focusing on Tony and his mother Tessie
Danielle continues to be steward of judicial prudence, also well
documented, as well as sharing the plight of the Coutts Four far and
wide, gaining significant exposure across North America.
Nikki focuses on the health and well-being of the Coutts Four, leads
phone and email campaigns to ensure the men receive adequate
medication and supplements, bedding and exercise equipment.
Margaret continues to advocate for all four men, participating in all
the above, has gained the men International attention.
Margaret is dedicated to all four men, that they must be presumed
innocent until proven guilty, stays out of the political theatre, of a
crisis created by those whose mission is to agitate, incite, divide
and conquer.
Margaret, Jaclyne, Danielle and Nikki continue to be the targets of
harassment, allegations of fundraising fraud coming from Lavigne and
his partner Donald Best, spurred on by Marco Van Hugenbos, Jeremy
Mackenzie and others.
I see Chris and Chris have aligned themselves with individuals who are
not who I would trust. Those who play politics. Aligning with
desperate dysfunctional men is not what I would advise.
If Chris and Chris ever wish to speak to me, I would go to them and do
so. I also care about them. Innocent until proven guilty is right.
I understand why, of the brokenness of these men and their families.
However, my advice to them, their families and friends would be to be
very cautious to who you align with.
******
What I’ve witnessed in the courtroom, I’m limited in the scope of
details that can be publicly shared due to a court ‘sealing’ order. A
sealing order breached by individuals who faced no reprisals while an
advocate of the men innocently shared a simple court ruling (provided
no evidence) and faced immediate condemnation of that.
This raises suspicion, in that some individuals are allowed to breach
the sealing order, while others are not.
******
Following is quote from 32 year Ontario Provincial Police, Vincent Gircys;
“The World Economic Forum Canadian leadership members are of concern.
We know that Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum, had
made a comment that we have penetrated over half of the cabinet.”
That comment had come up once in Parliament, asking the question
relative to this connection, immediately, an excuse to some microphone
related problem was made. That question has never since come up. By
any party in Canada.
It’s very concerning because it appears that there are members
possibly in other political parties as well, relative to the World
Economic Forum and those things that go on in the World Economic
Forum.
Is there any evidence to suspect reasonable suspicion of the need to
investigate potential criminal conspiracy? Yes, we believe that there
is. Absolutely.”

******
The rule of law in Canada is not being followed by elected
representatives, public institutions, Provincial and Federal
governments of the Justice system. Canada’s and Alberta’s sovereignty
has been usurped, voluntarily handed over to the dictates and policies
of unelected foreign entities of the World Health Organization and
World Economic Forum.
This accomplishment, in my opinion and observations, takes the deep
efforts of a deep infiltration of many citizenry, political,
bureaucratic, media, police and judicial collaborators.
In my opinion and observation; Alberta’s Political Prisoners,
regarding Jerry Morin, Tony Olienick, Chirs Lysak, Chris Carbert, in
the willful neglect of their unlawful and due process, in their
continued incarceration in Remand Centres meant to hold accused for an
average of 17 hours, in my opinion, these men, their families, parents
and children are being leveraged in a sinister way.
The plight of these men continues to go unchallenged by the Alberta
UCP Government as well as the Canadian Conservative Party opposition.
Why do I say these men, their situation, are political prisoners? As
the Federal Trudeau Government’s Rouleau report lays out, they are the
reason why the Emergency Measures Act was deployed. In my strong
opinion this situation is related to the overarching betrayal.

Hundreds gather to support ‘Freedom Convoy’ protesters charged with mischief
Nov 4, 2022 | 12:55 PM
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A large crowd formed outside of the Lethbridge
Courthouse on Friday, November 4, 2022, showing their support for
three people charged in connection to alleged events at the Coutts
border blockade in February 2022.
The rally was held to show support for Marco Van Huigenbos, 32, of
Fort Macleod; Alex Van Herk, 53, of Fort Macleod; and Gerhard (George)
Janzen, 43, of Taber. They are each charged with one count of mischief
over $5,000.
Benita Pedersen helped with the rally and says she was “blown away” by
how many people showed up and the level of enthusiasm they displayed.
“I am so happy with this turnout, just amazing. An amazing show of
support for Alex, Marco, and George,” says Pedersen. “It just warms my
heart to see all of these people, and what warms my heart even more is
how the people came with a positive attitude of peace and love.”
Members of the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) attended the rally to
ensure everyone there remained safe.
Officers counted approximately 500 people at the event.
LPS says there were no major issues to report.
“With the exception of a few parking challenges as a result of the
influx of people and vehicles, the gathering was peaceful and no
police action was required,” reads a media release from LPS.
Peter Van Liere also spoke at the rally, saying that when COVID-19
restrictions were first enacted in March 2020, he felt like he was
alone, but the freedom convoy protests restored his faith that things
would get better.
Following their appearance in Lethbridge Provincial Court, the three
men accused made brief remarks to those in attendance at the rally.
Van Herk thanked everyone who came out to show their support, and said
he hopes the court proceedings will be over quickly.
“I think this thing needs to end as soon as possible,” says Van Herk.
Chad Williamson, the lawyer representing Janzen, provided an update on
the courtroom proceedings.
He said that although today’s appearance in Lethbridge Provincial
Court was brief, it was an important one.
Williamson explained that lawyers for both the crown and defense have
decided to proceed by indictment, which gives them the right to be
tried by a judge and jury.
“We believe that 12 randomly-chosen representative jurors reflects the
common-sense, the values, and the conscious of this community and is
very important in this case,” said Williamson. “Once disclosure has
been properly received, we’ll proceed to trial by jury immediately.
There will be no deals and no concessions of any kind.”
The next court appearance for Van Huigenbos, Van Herk, and Janzen is
scheduled for December 12, 2022.
Peter Van Liere gives a speech about the freedom convoy movement
outside of the Lethbridge Courthouse as Marco Van Huigenbois, Alex Van
Herk, and Gerhard (George) Janzen make a scheduled court appearance.

MLA Roger Reid withdraws from Livingstone-Macleod UCP nomination race

Roger Reid speaks at the Livingstone-Macleod candidates forum in
Nanton on April 3, 2019, ahead of the last general election. He
announced Nov. 1 he is no longer seeking a second term.
Livingstone-Macleod MLA Roger Reid has removed himself for the
constituency's United Conservative Party nomination race.
In a post to the constituency association's Facebook page Tuesday,
Reid said he made the decision "after much personal wrestling."
Reid was elected to his first term in 2019, and despite submitting his
papers ahead of the nomination deadline, said he no longer feels it is
possible for him to seek another term.
"The last couple of years have been particularly challenging for our
province," he wrote. "Neither I, nor our government have been perfect,
but I believe the work we have done has put Alberta back on track.
"We are stronger and in a better position to weather the current
storms than we were four years ago."
The MLA will stay in his position until the next election in the
spring and said he will ensure that the concerns and needs of his
constituents are "kept in front of our Premier and her cabinet" until
that time.
During her leadership campaign, Premier Danielle Smith said she
intended to run for the UCP seat in her home riding of
Livingstone-Macleod, but later declared candidacy in Brooks-Medicine
Hat, after the resignation of MLA Michaela Frey.
Nadine Wellwood, who ran in Banff-Airdrie for the People's Party in
last year's federal election, posted to social media this week that
she plans to run for the UCP nomination in the riding.
She also ran as a PPC candidate in Alberta's Senate nominee election.
Author and conservationist Kevin Van Tighem is running for the NDP
nomination in the riding.

RCMP investigating rape threat against Pierre Poilievre's wife
Far-right activist Jeremy MacKenzie made the comments in an online stream
Warning: This story contains sexually graphic details that may be disturbing to readers
The RCMP confirmed Monday that it is looking into a threat of sexual violence directed at Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre's wife, Anaida Poilievre.
Poilievre denounced the threat from far-right political commentator Jeremy MacKenzie and said his office contacted law enforcement about the matter.
An RCMP spokesperson told CBC News Monday that it's looking into the report.
"We can confirm that the matter has been referred to the RCMP and we are reviewing the information provided," they said in an email.
"Only in the event that criminal charges are laid would the RCMP be in a position to confirm the nature of the complaint or any individuals allegedly involved."
Jeremy MacKenzie, the leader of the Canadian far-right group Diagolon, made the threats over the weekend in a stream on the social media app Telegram while speaking with a guest, Alex Vriend.
"Let's rape her," MacKenzie said. "It's not really a sex thing. It's like we just want to show people that we can do things to you if we want to. It's a power move."
MacKenzie made several racist and derogatory remarks about Anaida Poilievre's Venezuelan background in the stream.
Anaida Poilievre was born in Venezuela and grew up in Montreal. Pierre and Anaida married in 2017 and have two children. Pierre Poilievre was elected Conservative leader earlier this month and Anaida Poilievre works as a political staffer on Parliament Hill.
In a statement posted to Twitter Monday, Poilievre said his office has contacted the RCMP about the comments.
"My office has referred these comments to the RCMP to assess whether criminal charges should be laid," he said in the statement.
Jenni Byrne, the head of Poilievre's transition team, told CBC News she called the RCMP on Saturday after she was made aware of the threat. Byrne said she would be meeting with the Mounties to discuss the situation.
"These men are dirtbags," Poilievre said in the statement. "Frankly, like most Canadians, until about a month ago I had never heard of Diagolon and these losers. They are all odious.
"This kind of garbage has no place in Canada. No one should face this abuse.
"People can attack my politics, they can call me names, they can protest my ideas and what I stand for. But threatening my wife and family is appalling and I will not tolerate it. Leave my family alone."
In an interview with The Canadian Press, MacKenzie said he was drinking when he made the comments and meant no harm by them.
Politicians, journalists and other public figures — especially women and people of colour — have been facing an increase in acts of harassment and threats in recent months.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau denounced threats and hatred in response to a reporter's question Monday. He didn't mention Poilievre specifically.
"No one should ever be subject to threats of violence or the kind of hatred that we've seen increasingly in the public discourse, in the public sphere," Trudeau told a news conference.
"It's important that we all stand up and condemn that, and we all look for ways to ensure that everyone feels safe in this country."
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh also denounced the threat.
"No one should be threatened with sexual violence. Not journalists, not politicians, not anyone's family, not anyone," Singh said in a tweet Monday.
He called on political leaders to work at stopping violent extremism.
"The rise of violent extremism in Canada should be a concern for all leaders. If there's political will, we can do something to stop it," he said.
Mark Gerretsen, a Liberal member of Parliament representing Kingston and the Islands, tweeted Monday that he also received a sexual assault threat directed at his wife. He posted the message in his tweet and said both Kingston Police and the Parliamentary Protective Service have opened files on it.
"I 100% agree with Pierre Poilievre on this," Gerrettsen said in the tweet. "Attack me all you want. Leave our families out of this."
Who is Jeremy MacKenzie?
MacKenzie, who is 36, has attracted attention for his support of the anti-vaccine mandate convoy protest which occupied Ottawa earlier this year, and for his leadership of far-right group Diagolon.
A spokesperson for the Department of National Defence told CBC in an email that MacKenzie served in the Canadian Armed Forces. They said MacKenzie enrolled in 2003 and released in 2017, adding he was an infantryman with the Royal Canadian Regiment and that he had one deployment to Afghanistan.
An Instagram account bearing MacKenzie's name describes him as a "Sub-Standard podcaster, Sit-down comedian Super Villain, Sardonic Emperor of Diagolon, Very Scary."
The Saskatchewan RCMP charged MacKenzie in July with assault, pointing a firearm, using a restricted weapon in a careless manner and mischief. Nova Scotia RCMP charged MacKenzie with 13 gun-related charges in June.
Barbara Perry, director of the Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism at Ontario Tech University, said that Diagolon aims to establish a "white ethnonationalist state" which would run diagonally from the Pacific Northwest through Canada to Florida.
Perry said her group started to look into Diagolon after police in Coutts, Alta., found the group's patch on body armour while executing a search warrant. Two men arrested in relation to border blockades in Coutts in February have ties to MacKenzie and Diagolon.
Barbara Perry, director of the Centre for Hate, Bias and Extremism at Ontario Tech University, said Diagolon aims to establish a "white ethnonationalist state" stretching from the Pacific Northwest to Florida. (CBC)
"So the idea is ... to accelerate some form of civil war," Perry said. "[MacKenzie] feels, and some of his followers believe, that we are already in the midst of a racial war in which white men, in particular, are losing, so it's time for them to stand up and fight back.
"So they would like to 'accelerate' that civil war, if you will, and replace the current order with this white ethnonationalist state."
Perry said that while Diagolon lacks concrete plans, the group's narrative is violent and aggressive — and may inspire violence.
"The narratives themselves are dangerous because of the potential consequences," she said.
Perry said that MacKenzie may have seen Anaida Poilievre's ethnicity and gender, as well the fact that she has children with Pierre, as an opportunity to highlight his racist, misogynist narrative.
Poilievre shook hands with MacKenzie at an event in August. In a statement issued to Global News, he denied knowing MacKenzie.
"My campaign events are public. There is no registration and anyone can walk in ... It is impossible to do a background check on every single person who attends my events," Poilievre said in the statement. "As I always have, I denounce racism and anyone who spreads it."
Perry said MacKenzie also may have threatened Poilievre because of Poilievre's new status as leader of the opposition.
"So now, to the extent that Poilievre is the leader of a primary political party in Canada, he is now part of the machinery. He is, because of that leadership role, part of the state to which [Diagolon is] so opposed," Perry said.

Jeremy Mackenzie, ‘Diagolon’ founder and far-right figurehead, arrested
Jeremy Mackenzie, a far-right livestreamer and founder of the de-facto group “Diagolon,” has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia RCMP have confirmed to Global News.
Mackenzie made headlines this week after he allegedly made a joke about sexually assaulting Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s wife, Anaida Poilievre, and his livestreams have faced close scrutiny by extremism researchers — some of whom have raised the alarm about the content.
However, his arrest is unrelated to either of those issues. Mackenzie was arrested on Wednesday after a Saskatchewan warrant was made Canada-wide, the province’s RCMP told Global News.
The warrant was related to charges laid against Mackenzie on July 18 for assault, pointing a firearm, using a restricted weapon in a careless manner and mischief.
The Nova Scotia RCMP said Mackenzie was arrested in the early afternoon on Wednesday in Cole Harbour, N.S., in relation to this Canada-wide warrant.
“The arrest warrant is related to charges laid by the Saskatchewan RCMP. MacKenzie will be remanded into custody as part of the court process related to his arrest warrant,” Nova Scotia RCMP told Global News in a a statement.
“Court details will be provided by the Saskatchewan RCMP once they are available.”
The latest arrest is not Mackenzie’s first brush with the law.
The Nova Scotia resident was charged with intimidation of a health professional, criminal harassment, mischief and with making harassing phone calls following an anti-mask protest outside of the home of the province’s chief medical officer this past March. He is also facing 13 firearms-related charges in an unrelated incident in the province.
Poilievre marches at head of convoy protesters alongside man who appeared on far-right podcast
Mackenzie has a sizeable following on social media and regularly livestreams under the moniker “Raging Dissident” for hours at a time across multiple platforms. His Telegram channel has more than 14,000 members, and he had at least 10,000 subscribers on YouTube before his channel was removed in early September. Mackenzie has since made a new YouTube channel, which has already amassed at least 1,000 subscribers.
In these streams, Mackenzie often expresses his deep distrust in political institutions and hints at a societal collapse he believes the political elite have Canada careening towards.
But after a patch bearing what is believed to be Diagolon’s insignia was found alongside weapons seized by the RCMP near the border in Coutts, Alta., in February, some extremism experts say they are concerned about what Mackenzie and his friends’ multi-hour livestreams could inspire their viewers to do.
“I don’t get the sense that they know what they want to do next … There’s this kind of constant reveling in the grievance itself. But there’s no real ask,” said Amarnath Amarasingam, an assistant professor at Queen’s University and expert on extremism, in an interview with Global News in July.
“That’s not to say particular individuals and this movement won’t take it upon themselves to do it — as we (allegedly) saw in Coutts.”
Mackenzie denies that the patches are affiliated with his group. A post on a website dedicated to Diagolon suggests the patches are fake and being “used to frame community members.”
He has also pushed back on concerns that his livestreams could incite followers to acts of aggression.
The goal of his podcast, Mackenzie told Global News in an email in late July, is to “make people laugh and alleviate their stress, build a sense of community to combat the social and spiritual isolation prevalent through society, make it abundantly clear that these incredibly wealthy and powerful folks pushing the buttons in our home are not to be blindly trusted without a thought.”
However, Mackenzie recently found himself in some hot water over comments he appears to have made during a livestream with friends.
Earlier this week, a clip emerged of a livestream Mackenzie is believed to have participated in alongside Alex Vriend, another Diagolon livestreamer who uses the pseudonym The Ferryman’s Toll.
In the video, a social media account of “Jeremy Mackenzie” can be seen lighting up as the speaker before a man can be heard talking about Anaida Poilievre as he and co-hosts debate her ethnic background, before he goes on to say: “let’s rape her.”
“It’s not really a sex thing, we just want to show people we can do things to you if we want to,” he adds.
Global News attempted to contact Mackenzie on Monday about the threats allegedly made against Anaida Poilievre. No response has been received.
However, the comment prompted Poilievre to released a statement about Mackenzie, saying he had been made aware of “disgusting comments made by Jeremy McKenzie and another man, where they discuss sexually assaulting my wife.”
He called the men “odious” and “losers,” and added he has reported the comments to police.
The Canadian Press reported Monday afternoon that in an interview with Mackenzie, he said he was drinking when he made the comments and nobody meant any harm by it.
His arrest on Wednesday was unrelated to this incident, RCMP confirmed.
Supporters of Diagolon — and Mackenzie himself — have also participated in an ongoing torrent of abuse against female Canadian journalists who cover the far-right.
“You deserve worse and with the trajectory you’re on, you’ll get it,” Mackenzie tweeted on Aug. 12 about the onslaught of threats against female journalists covering the far-right.
He also urged his thousands of followers: “Hate them as hard as you can.”
His account was suspended shortly after and remains shut down.
A report from Press Progress published a document it obtained through access-to-information from the Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre, a federal organization that assesses threats of terrorism to Canada.
The document, dated Feb. 17, 2022, classifies Mackenzie as one of the “key anti-government IMVE (ideologically motivated violent extremism) adherents” that attended the so-called “freedom convoy” protests in Ottawa earlier this year.
The Canadian government has not expressed formal concern about Diagolon nor does it list the group as a terrorist entity.

Kaycee Madu admitted "It was never about science but about
political control and power. Thanks to freedom convoys who had the
courage to mobilize against these tyrannical policies."
At least a half dozen truckers from Fort MacLeod, Taber,
Lethbridge, Claresholm, and Olds have had charges laid against them
because they rallied for their rights in Coutts, Alberta.
These men are political punching bags who stood up against mandate madness.
The charges against them are malicious prosecution in kangaroo
courts pandering to political bullies.
Therefore we residents of Canada call for the charges against the
truckers to be dropped and for Tyler Shandro to be removed from the
Alberta cabinet.

>>>> 1. HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN (Crown) is Elizabeth II, the Queen of
>>>> England, the Protector of the Faith of the Church of England, the
>>>> longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom and one of the
>>>> wealthiest persons in the world. Canada pays homage to the Queen
>>>> because she remained the Head of State and the Chief Executive Officer

>>>>
>>>> “The executive power of the federal Government is vested in the

>>>> 2. Her Majesty the Queen is the named defendant pursuant to

>>>>
>>>> 10. The Plaintiff states that another document that the Plaintiff
>>>> received during the election of the 39th Parliament further supported

>>>> Mr. Arar’s lawyer announced that the RCMP will attempt to extradite a

>>>>
>>>> 11. The Plaintiff states that from June 24, 2004 until the day he

>>>> with any public official in Canada whom he believed had the mandate or
