Hey

CARP thanking me for the info just won't do anymore. However thank you
for acknowledging the fact that you know I am still breathing and mad
as hell but at least still having a little fun politicking against all
the smiling bastards who screw us all. Just so ya know Michelle. I am
over fifty. I consider the possiblity of a heart attack as something
serious that should not be ignored. By the same logic your Advocacy
Team should not ignore the fact that I am considering suing CARP. If
your people do not understand why, talk to the people I have talked to
in your offices in the past. Somebody named Sky would be a good place
to start. Then perhaps you should call the nasty cop Dean Buzza at
IMET. Ask him if I didn't sound as serious as a heart attack last week
when I demanded that he get off his ass and act within the scope of
his employment. Crooked cops who talk tough don't scare me a bit. If
the people who advise the over fifty folks were truly wise you would
not waste my precious time anytime and call me ASAP before i embarass
you out of your business. In case you haven't figured it out I am
protecting your rights and interests too. We should be on the same
side of this battle against the rampant public corruption that Stevey
boy Harper lamented about in order to get elected for the benefit of
his buddy George W. Bush. the only true thing that Franky Boy McKenna
ever said was that Harper was a lapdog for Bush and he said in rally
of the liberal kissarses wanting to getting their big bad old buddy
Rotten Ralphie Goodale reelected to sit in the very wicked 38th
Parliament.

Here is my number 506 434 1379 This time please do not allow the
person who calls me to play dumb. That only serves to piss me off and
I do not want my blood pressure up any higher. Delay me or deny me if
you wish but know this. Before I summons CARP to court I will send
your lawyers the very same material that New Brunswick Securities
Commission just bounced back to me . Lets just say I am very curious
to see if a copy of a wiretap tape will give your lawyers a stroke and
finally make them see the light. One of your lawyers if he is truly a
clever camper would ask Mr. Emerson why he quit Rogers Media long
after he and I had a long talk but just before I head to court. I
would be greatly interested in his response.I already know he is a
liar I just want someone to witness fast I can prove it. There is no
denying that I can be as mean as snake. That comes with old age N'est
Pas? To put it simply I have no time for Bullshit anymore. Methinks we
should be friends not foes. What say you?

Subject: Re: Cya'll in Federal Court

Hey Mr. Stokes
Thanks for the suggestion. As you should know the most glaring example
of a company that has been raping the Maritimes with abandon for many
years is obviously the Irving Empire. However lately there are some
very nasty new players on the scene such a PCS and Corridor Resourses
etc etc. I am very busy these days and I am not a journalist. You
people are though yet it seems you would rather me say the awlful
truth than yourselves because of some possible lawsuit EH?

So be it. I will because it is not slander if one's words are true.
Perhaps you should consider checking my work and then come to court
sometime in order to listen to me argue all the smiling bastards. You
can have much of my work in a click of the button of my mouse. But
first please allow me to introduce you to the New Brunswick Securities
Commission. I got a rather interesting response from them today whilst
I was in Fredericton. They have ignored my concerns for almost a year
but now that Bernie Lord's government is getting tipsy, it appears all
the bad actors want to show me their arse just in time for me to boot
it.

It is Securities Commissions such as this that allow many publicly
held companies such as Corridor Resources or Magna Entertainment etc
to get away with many things rather than remind them of the law and on
how they should conduct business in an ethical fashion. That said,
these Commisssions have no say whatsoever over the Irving Empire and
that is truly bad. It is a privately held corporation that knows very
well the power of money and on how to pay off greedy politicians in
order to get anything they want. In the nutshell of the Maritimes that
is quite simply everything. It seems that I am the only Maritimer who
is not afraid of the ghost of mean old KC Irving and his monoply game.
It has always been hard times in the Maritimes. We lament about it all
the time but our apathy and fear of the Irvings etc gives us the
govenments we deserve.
Print this if you wish. You are off the hook that Irving's lawyers
threaten ordinary folks with. I am fearless yet never reckless with
the truth. I stand by my own words and invite anyone to sue me if they
think I am a liar and wish to argue me. I hate it when the
chickenshits send crooked cops against me bearing false allegations in
a faint hearted effort to shut me up. It does the smiling bastards no
good and only serves to make matters worse.

RE: Securities Fraud and Public Corruption

Sir,

Pursuant to our conversation today please find enclosed exactly the
same material sent to the eight other provincial Attorney Generals in
Canada before I returned to my native land again this year. Obviously
the AGs Brad Green and Tom Marshall have known the truth of my matters
since the summer of 2004. They have maliciously ignored my false
imprisonment in the USA for their own political benefit. The tapes
enclosed are exactly the same copies that were served upon the lawyers
acting for Rogers Media byway of their newsman Tom Young today. As you
listen to the tape you will hear that I mentioned your Commission on
air in Saint John weeks ago. Methinks you should have called me then
instead of waiting for me to contact you again today.

The tapes and the CD of wiretap tape #139 are served upon the
Commission's lawyers Ms. Ball and Ms. Losier as in confidence as
officers of the court in order that my allegations of illegal wiretaps
by crooked law enforcement authorities may be finally properly
investigated ASAP by ethical law enforcement authorities. Hopefully
this will be done before I sue the Crown about my false imprisonment
but I am not holding my breath. April 3rd is coming fast. Upon your
study of these documents you will see that I have not yet given the
Yankee SEC all of my evidence of Securities Fraud. However every
Attorney General in Canada has been made well aware of it for quite
sometime before the SEC declared it was willing to investigate the
actions of the former Minister of Finance Ralph Goodale. To date not
one person has responded me nor did me the simple courtesy of
returning my calls or emails as you finally did today.

Clearly I must complain of the Crown myself without delay before
further harm is done to my Clan. Rest assured I will be calling you,
Mr. Hancox and the lawyers within your Commission to testify at a
trial of my matters in Federal Court in Fredericton. A very pigheaded
yet ethical Maritimer knows that justice has been delayed way past too
long for the benefit of public corruption and not the public trust. I
will not wait for anyone on public service to act within the scope of
their employment anymore. To put it simply, after our conversation
today I had no faith that you were willing to do your job.

even reading me my rights. You held me under the charges of "other" asshole.

Support for People's Party climbing, but impact in N.B. remains to be seen

Anecdotal evidence suggests increase in support for party compared to 2019 election

Support for the People's Party of Canada is rising nationally according to polls, but the impact they'll have in New Brunswick remains to be seen. Pictured is a supporter of the People's Party of Canada protesting prior to the English language leaders' debate, in Gatineau, Que., Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021. (Nathan Denette/The Canadian Press)

Andrea Anderson-Mason was in a store in her riding last weekend when she was approached by one of her supporters with a message.

"They complimented me on the job we are doing here in New Brunswick," says the Progressive Conservative MLA for Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West.

"But they wanted to let me know they would be voting PPC in the federal election."

It wasn't the first time in the federal campaign that Anderson-Mason detected support for the People's Party of Canada among her provincial PC voters. She has seen PPC signs on some of their lawns.

That didn't happen in 2019, the first election for the PPC.

"I do a see difference this time compared to last time," she says. "I think it relates back to a general frustration with government as a whole."

Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West MLA Andrea Anderson-Mason says she senses a difference in the support the PPC are getting this election versus the one in 2019. (Jacques Poitras/CBC)

It's anecdotal evidence but it matches national polling trends.

At the start of the campaign, the PPC, a populist-libertarian party founded by former Conservative MP Maxime Bernier, was below four per cent in most samples, falling short of the criteria for inclusion in the televised leaders' debates.

Now the party is up to around seven to nine per cent in some polls, meaning they could start having an impact on some races in New Brunswick.

"Every day it seems to be picking up a little bit more and a little bit more," says Nicholas Pereira, the PPC candidate in Saint John-Rothesay.

"There's a portion of the population that we can see is significant that now feels like they have a political home."

Nicholas Pereira, People's Party of Canada candidate for Saint John-Rothesay, says he's seen a growing number of people who've found a "political home" with the PPC. (Zoom)

Liberal incumbent Wayne Long says Pereira "is certainly out and about. He's doing videos. He's knocking on doors and he's got signs up."

Last month a video of Bernier and Pereira crossing paths with provincial Education Minister Dominic Cardy got a lot of attention online. Pereira says it helped raise his profile.

The party's growth is fuelled by anger among a minority of Canadians over mask rules, proposed vaccination passports and mandatory vaccination rules in federal settings.

"I think a lot of people, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, are concerned about the passports, what that would look like, and how it's going to fundamentally change how we operate," Pereira says.

Supporters of the passport concept, however, say it would be a convenient tool for people who have been vaccinated to live relatively safe, normal lives.

Bernier has opted not to be vaccinated, saying he doesn't think he'll get sick from COVID-19. That view is at odds with overwhelming scientific evidence that the risks of serious illness among unvaccinated people are far higher than the chance of any vaccine side-effects.

The PPC's denial that climate change is the result of human activity is also contradicted by decades of data.

But it's the vaccine issue that is driving the party's new support.

The PPC won 1.6 per cent of the vote nationally in the 2019 election, when libertarian economic issues and immigration were the focus of its campaign.

But in New Brunswick, it did better than that, with 2.1 per cent of the popular vote, its second best result among the provinces and territories.

In Miramichi-Grand Lake, PPC candidate Ron Nowlan won 1,216 votes in 2019, more than three times the margin of victory for the Liberal candidate over the second-place Conservative.

CBC poll analyst Eric Grenier, publisher of the polling newsletter the Writ, says it's hard to predict how the PPC will affect the vote this time because it's tricky measuring who its voters supported in the past.

"It's certain that the Conservatives are the ones who are losing most, but it's not clear how much of it it is," Grenier said.

At least some PPC voters did not vote last time. Pereira says he didn't cast a ballot in 2019 and was drawn to the party purely on the vaccination issue.

"A lot of people finally have gone, 'Politics does affect me, I should pay attention.'"

Others, like Moncton-area resident Serge Robichaud, are switching from other parties.

I'm not impressed but what do I do? Who do I vote for?
- Moncton-area resident Serge Robichaud

Robichaud has been a Green Party supporter for more than a decade but says he made the switch when he heard provincial leader David Coon call for stricter vaccination requirements.

"It is the single most important issue for me in this election, and the only party that has spoken out against it is the PPC," Robichaud said.

He says he doesn't like Bernier's positions on other issues but the vaccine debate leaves him no choice.

"I'm not impressed but what do I do? Who do I vote for?"

The increase in popularity worries progressive voters like Richard Blaquiere, a retired Woodstock High School teacher who won the New Brunswick Human Rights Award for his work educating students about anti-Semitism and the Holocaust.

"There are several things in that platform that are worrisome," he says, such as the party's opposition to climate change action and multiculturalism. "It's not just the anti-vaxx thing."

Former teacher Richard Blaquiere says the PPC's opposition to climate change action and multiculturalism are worrying, on top of the "anti-vaxx thing." (CBC)

Blaquiere's been monitoring the PPC online and says it's galling that party supporters compare vaccine passports to the yellow stars used by Nazi Germany to identify and stigmatize Jews.

He says the party is building support based on "what I consider to be manipulation of a lot of good people out of fear" and worries Bernier might win in the riding where he's running in Quebec. "If they get one seat, that's a foothold."

Anderson-Mason says she doesn't expect the PPC to come anywhere close to winning her federal riding of New Brunswick Southwest but their support reflects that some voters are "having a hard time distinguishing between the mainstream parties."

Another factor that may help the party are its purple logo and signs, a visual reminder of the provincial People's Alliance, which holds two seats in the New Brunswick legislature.

Alliance Leader Kris Austin was reluctant to comment on the PPC's popularity because he says he doesn't want anyone to think the two parties are aligned. Austin supports COVID-19 vaccinations and is vaccinated himself, while Pereira won't say whether he's had the shots.

Even so, Austin says his party's breakthrough in 2018 is an indicator that voters "are seeking an alternative to the status quo of politics that we often see in the two-party system."

Justin Trudeau is Slightly Favoured in the 905, but Will it Be Enough for The Liberals?

The 905 Region Remains a Battleground for Liberals and Conservatives

Toronto, ON, September 16, 2021 — The vote-rich 905 region is often cited as a crucial battleground for every federal campaign, with over 30 ridings up for grabs. The region consists primarily of the Golden Horseshoe in Southern Ontario surrounding Toronto, and encompasses a large portion of middle-class residents, as well as new immigrants. The 905 typically votes as a block, and the area has largely stayed Liberal throughout the past two federal elections[i]. If Erin O’Toole wants to become the next Prime Minister, the conservatives will need to flip the region blue.

Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have Marginal Lead in the 905

If an election were held tomorrow, the Liberals under Justin Trudeau would receive 37% of the vote, 3 points ahead of the Conservatives and Erin O’Toole (34%). Jagmeet Singh and the NDP would receive 23% of the vote, with the Green (2%), and the People’s Party of Canada (1%) trailing. Compared to the national polling numbers, the Liberals are up by four points (33%) in the 905, whereas the Conservatives (32%) and the NDP (21%) are only up by two points.

As a leader, Justin Trudeau is seen slightly more favourably in the 905 than he is nationally. A majority (51%) of 905 residents say they approve of the Liberal government under the leadership of Justin Trudeau, four points higher than the national approval rating (47%). The 905 residents also say Justin Trudeau would make the best Prime Minister of Canada (40%), ahead of Erin O’Toole (27%) and Jagmeet Singh (27%). This has been a notable theme throughout the campaign, where Justin Trudeau as a leader has been polling better than the Liberal party itself.

Notably, more 905 residents say the Liberal party has the best plan for Canada’s post COVID-19 recovery (32%). Lagging are the Conservatives (25%), and the NDP (9%). This election has been characterized as a preview of a potential post-COVID-19 Canada, so this will be crucial for Justin Trudeau and the Liberals to hold on to this sentiment and hope that it translates at the polls.

Despite Justin Trudeau’s high approval rating in the 905, only four in ten (41%) say the Trudeau government has done a good job and deserves re-election. Similar to the national point of view, a majority (59%) of 905 residents say it is time for another federal party to take over. This puts Justin Trudeau and the Liberals in a tight spot. This region could sway either way, with the Liberals at risk of losing their seats in these critical ridings.

On par with the national sentiment, a majority (55%) of 905 residents agree that we should not be having an election during a pandemic. This has been a consistent sentiment throughout the election campaign[ii], and it could pose a significant threat on Justin Trudeau’s chances at a re-election as the frustration remains and election day gets closer. With all of this back and forth, this further shows that the 905 remains a battleground region that could truly swing in either direction.

How Does the 905 Feel about Justin Trudeau?

In the 905 region, voters’ appraisals of Justin Trudeau are slightly more positive than the national sentiment in terms of personality traits.

Justin Trudeau is Someone Who /Will…

Gen Pop

905

Has a hidden agenda

36%

30%

Say anything to get elected

45%

38%

In over his head

36%

31%

Conversely, Erin O’Toole is experiencing the opposite in the 905, where 905 Canadians tend to have a more negative view of the Conservative leader than the national average. Compared to the general population, more 905 residents say Erin O’Toole has a hidden agenda (37% vs 29% general population), will say anything to get elected (38% vs 28% general population), and is in over his head (26% vs 18% general population).

No Issue Dominates the 905 Agenda

The top three issues the 905 cites as most important in driving their vote choice are the COVID-19 pandemic (29%), climate change (29%), and the economy (28%). With the COVID-19 pandemic cited as a top issue, this could be an opportunity for the Liberals to further emphasize their COVID-19 recovery plan, which is seen as the best among all the federal leaders in the 905.

When comparing to the regions in Ontario, the 905 region does not have one specific issue that would likely influence their vote choice. Rather, they find themselves in the middle amongst the other regions for nearly all issues. The only issue that the 905 prioritizes more than other regions is taxes (20%), with the East (19%), Southwestern (17%), and 416 (15%) right behind.

About the Study

These are some of the findings of an Ipsos poll conducted between August 13 and September 6, 2021 on behalf of Global News. For this survey, a sample of n = 6,502 Canadians aged 18+ was interviewed. A sample of n = 6,002 was interviewed online, via the Ipsos I-Say panel and non-panel sources, and respondents earn a nominal incentive for their participation. A sample of n = 500 Canadians aged 18+ was interviewed by live-interview telephone interviewers by landline and cellphone, using random-digit dialing. Quotas and weighting were employed to balance demographics to ensure that the sample's composition reflects that of the adult population according to Census data and to provide results intended to approximate the sample universe. From this sample, n = 620 respondents identified as 905 residents, and these respondents are the focus of this factum.

In all surveys, quotas and weighting were employed to balance demographics to ensure that the sample's composition reflects that of the adult population according to Census data and to provide results intended to approximate the sample universe. The precision of Ipsos polls which include non-probability sampling is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll is accurate to within ± 4.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20, had all 905 residents been polled. The credibility interval will be wider among subsets of the population. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error, and measurement error.

This Ipsos webinar series is dedicated to helping our clients better understand the dynamics of today as they prepare for tomorrow. Our focus is on bringing together new perspectives, based on real-life experiences and insights grounded in research. In this session, we will be taking time out to explore how we can stay tuned to people’s daily lives and build our understanding from different angles. What do their everyday stories tell us about their hopes and fears? Where can we find new inspirations for how we target and talk to them? And how can we better connect the information at our disposal with the big decisions organisations and brands need to take about their direction of travel? Please join us as we reflect on how we can all nurture environments that can adapt and grow against the ever-changing context of the world around us. On the agenda: The Year So Far: Six months into 2021, we have been pulling together a mid-year dossier to assess how the public mood is evolving and identify some of the latest dynamics in consumer behaviour. Empathy Awakened: Key decision-makers are feeling the need to get closer to people and better understand the deeper “why” behind ever-shifting behaviours. We consider how to move to an empathetic viewpoint to develop relevant solutions and deeply-felt communication. Getting it Right: How can we create more conscious brands in today’s rather turbulent context? We’ve been reflecting on how brand strategies can adapt and stay connected with what consumers really care about. Connected Brands: We review the changing economic and demographic context of Sub-Saharan Africa and explore how brands can successfully support people’s everyday needs and longer-term aspirations.

A presentation by April Jeffries, Global President Ethnography and Immersions, Ipsos Understanding Unlimited and Murray Stanford, Head of Ethnography, Ipsos in MENA Empathy is in! Technology has opened up so much access to information that we now have more facts and data about people than we often know what to do with. But successful leaders have recognized that in the wake of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, we need a renewed focus on the power of human connections and bonding. Yes, forward thinkers like Jack Ma at Ali Baba and Satya Nadella at Microsoft, while leading technology enabled companies, have openly declared empathy a critical factor in future survival and success. We will explore the importance of being better connected to the real people that interact with your brands and discuss how to create a culture that supports people centricity on an ongoing basis.

Introduction

There is a wide explosion afoot to better connect with the people. After years of wading through big data and information overload, most recently in isolation, we are realizing the need to go beyond the data, to connect, get closer to people and understand the deeper “why” behind ever-shifting behaviors. Particularly now, in a world of high tech and digital communication, we long even more for the human touch, the opportunity to go deeper. Now is the time to rediscover the people we serve — who they are and who they are becoming, what drives them, what frustrates them and how best to delight them by providing for their emerging developing needs.

Definition: Empathy — the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

It starts with empathy. Not the purely emotional kind but one that includes purposeful action and delivery. Action without empathy is reckless and meaningless, and empathy without action is sentimental and soft. As a powerful tool for growing businesses, brands, and organizations, empathy requires a complete circuit — from your head (the business question) to your heart (the people question) to your gut (intuitive understanding) to your hands and feet (motivated action). In fact, empathy is anything but a passive emotional response to another’s circumstances. It is a powerful instrument for problem-solving and it is physically rooted in who we are!

Watch outs — the Dark Side

Some may argue that the past year has pushed us into empathy overload. Our brains are bruised. Just as most weaknesses are strengths take to extreme, there are signs of the “dark side” of empathy particularly when it is inward, and inclusiveness is limited. This can force polarization, creating solidarity through a common enemy which effectively weaponizes empathy and encourages the “cancel culture” that often materializes. The pressure of being empathetic can be hard to handle. Stuck in our limited worlds makes it easy to project our own feelings on others and make leaps of faith that can feel like empathy. But we need to understand everyone’s context provides unique perspective and dictates how they feel. Effective empathy takes you out of your world and into the world of another to see and experience the tensions that inform broader insights.

Developing gut.

Applying an empathetic lens transforms an insight from one that will produce predictable solutions with little emotional relevance to one that taps into needs we didn’t know we had and feels more like an unexpected delightful gift. That kind of lens comes from getting close to living the tension and does not necessarily depend on one’s ability to express it. Once you’ve felt it, you know it.

Empathy of this kind is developed on 3 levels:

· Listen — Deep listening and courageous conversations are the entry point to developing the empathetic lens. Allowing for silence, probing for deeper answers, asking for examples and stories that illustrate are all ways to start peeling back the layers. Frequency and consistency builds connection and with time that intuitive gut can start to develop.

· Observe — Principles of ethnography leverage observation-based tools that can go even deeper. Recognizing contradictions, observing real versus claimed behaviors and beliefs, noticing dynamic shifts when others are present. These are critical in understanding real people in real life.

· Experience — to the extent that we can genuinely live with the ideas, realities and limitations of others, we can get close to what it feels like to be in someone else’s shoes. What is it like to shop with 1/3rd of your normal budget? Now add 3 more family members. Now add sustainability restrictions. You can quickly start to see where priorities truly lie and why.

Return on Empathy.

So, is empathy something nice to do or a business necessity? The tides have been shifting and the pandemic has certainly accelerated those shifts. How we segment our audiences, how we talk to them, the way they shop, the things they need. Seeing those shifts through an empathetic lens and getting ahead of them can lead to increased penetration and frequency.

Numerous studies have demonstrated the Return on Empathy and strong financial results of businesses identified as more empathetic as measured by social conversations, brand perception, diversity, and leadership. CEOs are sensing the need for their teams to be “closer to their audience” recognizing it as a fuel for innovation, supporting the design of new products and services that address emerging needs and create new habits and behaviors. Recognition of corporate reputation that includes a broader sense of empathy — social justice commitments or environmental promises, for example — are strong considerations for purchase decisions especially among Millennials and Gen Z’ers. Employees increasingly expect empathy in their workplaces and leaders see it positively linked to employee wellbeing, motivation, productivity, retention, engagement, team collaboration, reduced stress, increased morale, less burn out and more inclusive attitudes at work.

Build a culture of empathy

Creating a culture within an organization where connection with others beyond yourself is a habit, a way of being, requires consistent ongoing effort, driven by agreed to values and embedded within the daily workings of the organization. Creating a culture of empathy within an organization begins with a genuine assessment of the organization and setting appropriate goals for improvement. Using Behavior Science as a foundation allows for the examination of the factors driving behavior and behavior change within an organization. Be Sci principles can not only show us the “why?” but also the “so what?” and the “what now?”.

  • Motivation — How motivated is your organization to change behavior to a more consumer-centric commitment? Are the benefits widely recognized and translated to daily business language? Is there confidence around what it means and an opportunity for people to receive guidance and feedback without risk?
  • Ability — routines and ways of working that put consumer centricity at the heart of what you do. Do your teams have the skill and capabilities to be more empathetic? Is it timely, relevant, experiential? Are there programs that help to develop habits of empathy? Are they embedded in your daily routines?
  • Processing — How much work does it take to be consumer-centric in your organization. How automatic is it for your teams to answer any strategic question with the consumer in mind?
  • Physical — Is the physical setting conducive to always-on consumer centricity?
  • Social — do the organizational norms and values support consumer centricity? Is empathy part of the values held by people in the organization?

The most effective empathy program addresses these questions and commits to an “always-on” program of consistent efforts.

Our Program

At Ipsos, we have developed a simple 4-step framework for building an empathetic organization.

4-Step Guide to Consumer Empathy

1. Build your Empathy Muscle. Keeping in mind that creating a culture is no small task, so positioning it as a critical “movement” within your organization is key. This period of cultural shapeshifting starts with training to build the necessary skills to get the most out of conversations, observations and sensorial experiences. We have also developed an empathy evaluator leveraging the Behavior Science principles referred to earlier.

2. Consistent, Easy Connection. Empathy is hardly a one-time engagement. Apply your newly developed empathy muscle to connect with real people in real life on a regular basis. Find the people who can best represent your target and decide on the best way to connect with them with the right frequency. We’ve learned so much about virtual connections and missed so much about face-to-face interactions so moving forward, be intentional about how to best connect given the ultimate objective.

3. Move to Action. The object of all business is to ultimately add value. So now is the time to do what you do best! Bring the thinking, access, and resources of your organization to the forefront and use them to address real problems. Take all you have done to the cognitive level, converting empathy experiences into tensions and implications to be answered by business solutions. Create human-centric ideas backed up with a detailed plan for action.

4. Develop an Empathy Ecosystem. Retaining learnings and enabling them to be shared throughout the business is key to getting maximum value from your program. Find ways to capture and retain knowledge using digital photos and videos when possible or tapping into your organizations knowledge management platform to help organize and make sense of the time you have spent. This will socialize what you have learned throughout the company, avoid repetitive learning and inspire a creative feedback loop through collaboration and collective knowledge.

Leveraging expertise across the process will help you to carefully craft an ongoing program of human connection.

  1. Put some science behind it. The Ipsos Behavioral Science and Ethnography Centers of excellence provide science-based grounding in the causes of behavior change as well as anthropological expertise in observation and questioning reflected in in our training designs.
  2. Human Understanding at Scale. History and experience provide deeper and comparative insights and keep you from having to start from zero. At Ipsos, we’ve been talking to people around the globe for 45 years, focused specifically on understanding people, markets and the societies they operate within. From this vantage, we see trends evolving in mid formation and our deep knowledge of cultural values, beliefs and quirks informs our process of empathy development.
  3. Syntheses and storytelling. Pulling it all together can be a time-consuming art form. Our Curation COE has mastered the skill of managing emotional and physical data and transforming it into powerful stories that bring insights to life.
