Horse Racing New Brunswick executive director resigns
Roberta Nixon's decision comes just as Fredericton city council votes
on whether group can move VLT lounge

By Shaun Waters, CBC News Posted: Jul 11, 2016 1:03 PM AT

For the record I see no harm whatsoever in the Horse Racing folks
moving the location of their bar before they get the boot from the
Fredericton Exhibition grounds.

I called and advised Horse Racing folks that they will be getting this
email. I strongly suggested that they have Kathy McLean call me or at
the very least print this email in its entirety along with the pdf
files hereto attached and  have their supporters show my documents to
all the city councilors before any vote tonight goes against them,

For the record I called Shaun Waters at 506-451-4006 about his article
below and even though he admitted knowing who I was he wanted to play
dumb about my ongoing lawsuit after he read the letter from Ministe
Joly. Trust that everybody in the know knows why I am about to sue CBC
as well as the RCMP and most importantly the City of Fredericton in
order to recover my property that the Fat Fred City Finest stole from
me in 2007 which in includes my 1965 Harley and the tools and the
American police wiretap tapes that were in its right hand side
saddlebag.

P.S. Also for the record the FEDS know that I published another email
about the topic of my Harley etc on June 30th and i told the CBC and
the Horse Racing folks I will be publishing the text of the this email
within the versame blog shortly

The mindless Cpl. Reilly was obviously acting against me under orders
from MacKnight. That is why I stopped the videos to listen to what
they were saying. No doubt later MacKnight blamed the circus on
Reilly. Small wonder the Fat Fred City Finest ignored my Freedom of
Information demands and made my Harley and the Yankee wiretap tapes in
its saddlebag evaporate EH?

The executive director of Horse Racing New Brunswick has resigned just
as Fredericton city council is set to vote on a zoning amendment that
would allow the group to move its video-lottery lounge to a new
location.

Roberta Nixon has left the job after weeks of debate over the proposed
expansion of the group's operations. Nixon said she resigned "for
personal reasons."

She submitted her resignation to the organization on June 12, she
said, with it to become effective last week.

Kathy McLean has taken the reins of the organization. McLean was not
taking calls from reporters on Monday.

Video-lottery lounge zoning rejected by Fredericton committee

At Monday evening's city council meeting, councillors are to vote on
the proposed zoning amendment that would allow the plan to proceed.

City planners had recommended the zoning amendment be approved, but
the city's planning advisory committee recommended it be rejected
before passing it on to city council.
Loud opposition

The proposal has been met with loud opposition from local residents
who say the proposed operation does not fit the family character of
the neighbourhood.

Horse Racing New Brunswick has been dealing with its own issues during
the application for rezoning. It's locked in a landlord-tenant dispute
with Fredericton Exhibition Ltd. and its lease expires at the end of
the year.

The group's offices are located in a building on the Fredericton
Exhibition grounds and it also leases space to operate Winners Lounge
in the building, which offers simulcast racing and 25 video-lottery
terminals owned by Atlantic Lottery Corp.

Horse Racing New Brunswick gets injunction to resume operations

In May, Fredericton Exhibition Ltd. changed the locks on the lounge
and the Horse Racing New Brunswick office, saying the group had
violated the terms of its lease.

Horse Racing New Brunswick went to court to obtain an injunction,
allowing it to return to its office and resume operations in the
lounge. The injunction enforces the terms of the existing lease, which
expires on Dec. 31, 2016.

Nixon had no comment when reached at her home other than to say her
resignation from Horse Racing New Brunswick is "for personal reasons."
