David R. Amos
Methinks someday our politicians will realize that the light dawns on Marblehead every day and the Yankees never allowed the Irving Clan to get away with what they do here N'esy Pas?

Matt Steele
It is doubtful if an investigation will reveal anything that is not already obvious . Brian Gallant and his SANB advisers went on a FOUR YEAR SPENDING SPREE with absolutely no regard for the taxpayers money . Gallant treated taxpayers cash like his own personal piggy bank ; and when he seen power slipping from his grasp , he tried to BUY THE ELECTION by giving the City of Saint John a 23 million dollar bailout after four years of neglect . When you look at Gallants excessive international travel , the property tax scam , the Francophonie Games Scam , the Saint John Bailout Out Scam , and the wild out of control hiring of all his personal friends and Liberal supporters ; then it seems clear that Gallant was acting in HIS OWN BEST INTERESTS

Emilien Forest
Reply to @Matt Steele: Yea, the Liberals gave 23 million to the Loyalist.

Rosco Holt
Reply to @Matt Steele:
"out of control hiring of all his personal friends and Liberal supporters "
The last I check the conservatives has done the same thing. Higgs hired some Irving colleagues at a very generous wage.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Emilien Forest: Methinks the SANB got a lot of taxpayer dollars over the years N'esy Pas?

Richard Dunn
Brian Gallant is hiding, Cathy Rogers is telling people to look away, and Roger Melanson is stalling in holding a hearing. The corruption, deceit and general lack of qualifications, within the liberal party continue.
The three of them are guilty and need to resign.

Colin Seeley
Reply to @Richard Dunn:

Also Cathy Rogers is still out there. Still shilling things like only “ asking people who can afford it to pay “ Whatever that means.

Richard Dunn
Reply to @Colin Seeley: Cathy Rogers has zero shame, it is quite sad.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Richard Dunn: Methinks no politician is allowed to show that emotion after they take their oath to the Queen N'esy Pas?

David Peters
No mention of how or why Saint John needed to be bailed out...

David R. Amos
Reply to @David Peters: BINGO

Laurie Clark
NB is a corrupt province no matter which party is in power! Come to think of it, most governments are corrupt and it is really getting rather sickening!

Harold Benson
Reply to @Laurie Clark: From Ottawa right down to all the provinces. There is a black hole of corruption that none of them seem able to stay out of. The event horizon is the day they are sworn in.

Alison Jackson
Reply to @Harold Benson:
You could have the best line up for sainthood elected into power, totally supported by a 100% vote count in who's ever favor it is, and still people will complain about who is in power.
Did it ever don on people that it's not always the politicians fault as it more often is a corporation behind holding the politician hostage? NB has an oligarchy in place that is headquartered in Saint John (well, Bermuda if anyone wants to actually hold them accountable) who probably are behind the scenes in this. I'd look there first.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Laurie Clark: Obviously I wholeheartedly Agree Methink everybody knows thats why I ran for public office 6 times this far and sued the Queen, The Taxman a Cardinal and more lawyers and law firms than most folks can name N'esy Pas?

Debi Mcdonald
Reply to @Laurie Clark: What is even more sickening is Federally and provincial levels, we the taxpayer have no say or power to do anything that has been going on for the past 10 years and that is being kind. All we have is every 4 years vote the party out. Much more accountability has to become the new norm. Millions of dollars just disappear without any records. How can that be in 2019 ?

Lou Bell
Reply to @David R. Amos: How many did you win ???

Lou Bell
Reply to @Lou Bell: NONE !

David R. Amos
Reply to @Lou Bell: WRONG Methinks your buddy Deschamps and everybody else but you knows that I appealed a decision I won in Federal Court in Fredericton in 2016 and the Fat Lady ain't sung on that matter yet Then there is the irrefutable fact that I won four judgements by default south of the 49th in 2003 before the Yankees attempted to take me to Cuba and even Trump those matters are far from over N'esy Pas?

Marguerite Deschamps
Reply to @Lou Bell: he's been shut out every time!

David R. Amos
Reply to @Marguerite Deschamps: Methinks there is a certain comedy in watching you two gang up against me Clearly your comments are predictable N'esy Pas?

David R. Amos
Reply to @Marguerite Deschamps: Methinks I should ask if you read the email I sent to the "Powers That Be" about you N'esy Pas?

Harold Benson
Yeah right just like the ATCON 6 was dealt with.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Harold Benson: Methinks Sam forgot to remind you about La Caisse populaire de Shippagan N'esy Pas?

David Peters
A full accounting of the $22.8 Million would be prudent, imo.

Complete fiscal transparency might be the solution. All gov't income/expenditures could be publicly accounted for and displayed on a daily updated website.

David R. Amos
Reply to @David Peters: Methinks thou doth jest too much N'esy Pas?

David Peters
Reply to @David R. Amos:

No, I think some form of direct democracy could make public finances virtually self-policing.

David R. Amos
Reply to @David Peters: Methinks that is the mandate of the Treasury Board, the Privy Council, the RCMP, and the federal and provincial Auditor Generals and the Integrity Commissioners etc N'esy Pas?

Donald Smith
Its amazing how Saint John is CASH STRAPPED, But yet, they were able to VOTE FOR A PAY RAISE. I'm sure we'd all be able to vote ourselves A PAY RAISE, Right Don ??

David R. Amos
Reply to @Donald Smith: Good luck getting an answer from the Mayor

Stanley Beemish
Reply to @Donald Smith: Its amazing that this small city of 80k people is cash strapped yet within it's limits are two power plants, two pulp mills, one of Canada's largest refineries, a shipyard, docking services, an LNG terminal. Must be a problem with the tax revenue stream?

David R. Amos
Reply to @Stanley Beemish: Methinks amazing things will never cease as long as the Irving Clan continues to control all the politicians N'esy Pas?

Mike Morton
Perhaps the government should consider shifting funding from the Language Commissioner's Department to the Auditor General's Department. Seems to offer bigger bang for your buck.

Natalie Pugh
Reply to @Mike Morton: Precisely what the PANB has been saying for years. We DO NOT need a Language Commissioner, in fact that department is part of the problem!

David R. Amos
Reply to @Mike Morton: Methinks there are at least dudes named Carrier who would disagree with you N'esy Pas?

David Stairs
isn't it amazing how these guys need to get together and study how to go forward on the Auditor's report and findings...here's a new concept for ya fellers...Call the Police and let them do what they do best and stop interfering in the process..let's stop the coverups...

David R. Amos
Reply to @David Stairs: Dream on

Brian Robertson
Yes; that's a lot of money.
Almost half that swept under the rug to Atcon.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Brian Robertson: Methinks Carl Urquhart and all the Conservatives wish to forget what was swept under the rug of La Caisse populaire de Shippagan N'esy Pas?

Kelly Sherrard
I have immense respect for the AG and her office. If she thinks the MLAs should move on this, THEY SHOULD. She is sounding the alarm and the MLAs should wake up and smell the smoke before the house burns down!

David R. Amos
Reply to @kelly sherrard: "I have immense respect for the AG and her office."

I don't

Lou Bell
Notice from Saint John to other outlying communities . - We not only want 22.8 million dollars outta your pockets , we also want used fees !!

David R. Amos
Reply to @Lou Bell: Cry me a river

Daryl Doucette
make irving pay their fair share of taxes. There. Saint John problem fixed.

David R. Amos
Reply to @daryl doucette: True

Shawn Tabor
Nothing will come out of this, it will not matter and nobody held accountable. What a wicked game. I wonder why they still go through this same routine. Even sadder that the news even finds it newsworthy. Hard to Imagine that this is just called Business in little NB, and sadly it truly is. All on the taxpayers dime. Again, again and again.

David R. Amos
Reply to @Shawn Tabor: YUP

Reply to @Shawn Tabor: FYI After 15 long years I will quit playing the wicked game in October because I truly believe we get the governments we deserve when we keep voting the same way again again and again. Anyone can Google the following and see why I earned the right to have that opinion.

SUSSEX - GOLD FOUND AND BERNARD LORD'S OPINION!!!!

The Kings County Record June 22. 2004

Raising a Little Hell- Lively Debate Provokes Crowd

By Erin Hatfield

"If you don't like what you got, why don't you change it? If your world is all screwed up, rearrange it."

The 1979 Trooper song Raise a Little Hell blared on the speakers at the 8th Hussars Sports Center Friday evening as people filed in to watch the Fundy candidates debate the issues. It was an accurate, if unofficial, theme song for the debate.

The crowd of over 200 spectators was dwarfed by the huge arena, but as they chose their seats, it was clear the battle lines were drawn. Supporters of Conservative candidate Rob Moore naturally took the blue chairs on the right of the rink floor while John Herron's Liberalswent left. There were splashes of orange, supporters of NDP Pat Hanratty, mixed throughout. Perhaps the loudest applause came from a row towards the back, where supporters of independent candidate David Amos sat."

David R. Amos
Reply to @David R. Amos: Methinks every political animal in knows what happened in NB 2 days after the Irving Clan published that article. Bernie Lord had me illegally barred from legislative properties with the help of Kevin Vickers and the Fred City Finest as aides-de-camp to the Queen for the benefit of his buddies Stevey Boy Harper, John Herron and Rob Moore.

it has been exactly 15 years to this very day and Bernie Lord has a pretty good grip on our Health Care Herron sits on the EUB Rob Moores is the the Shadow Cabinet Minister for Harper 2.O and Scheer, trump and Higgs are all high in the polls.

Methinks the SANB are very nervous that Krisy Baby Austin and his PANB

Perhaps they need to talk and come up with a plan to permanently fix
the pooo warnings on Shediac beaches.

The Blue Beach is full of pooo today.

Unreal.

Matt Steele

put in to get the BLUE FLAG designation for clean water ; they can't
